Black Ops 6 is back, and with it, brings in a mixture of Mastery Camo challenges as seen in previous Black Ops titles, and the more recent Modern Warfare games. Players will be able to get a mixture of designs reflecting what Treyarch is calling Military and Special Camos, alongside the prestigious Mastery Camos. Here’s everything you need to know to unlock the new Black Ops 6 Mastery Camos.
How to unlock Mastery Camos in BO6
In total, there are four Mastery Camos per weapon, per game mode. This gives players 12 weapon Mastery Camos to grind for in Multiplayer, Zombies, and Warzone. Here are the types of weapon Mastery Camos you can get: The Camo Mastery system is structured the same as previous CoD games:
- Complete the Military and Special Camo challenges for a gun.
- Unlock the first Mastery Camo for that gun.
- Unlock a set number of Mastery Camo challenges for that gun type to reach the next mastery type.
- Repeat the process for all gun types.
- Each Mastery Camo challenge unlock requires you to complete another weapon challenge to unlock the camo for that gun.
- Repeat the process across all guns to get the final Mastery Camo for that Black Ops 6 game mode.
You’ll need to unlock the first Mastery Camo in each game mode for each weapon type. You have base camos for each gun, which when completed, unlock the first challenge. Completing enough challenges for a gun type awards the next tier of challenges. You must get a set amount of the Mastery Camos to unlock the final tier for that gun. The Military challenges are as follows for each game mode:
- Multiplayer – Headshots
- Zombies – Critical Kills
- Warzone – Eliminations
Special camos are a new feature, which gives each gun two unique challenges and camos as a reward. These camo challenges are more akin to the challenges from recent CoD games and relate to the weapon’s specific playstyle or main attribute. Expect the likes of hip fire, multi-kills, or point-blank challenges.

BO6 Multiplayer Mastery Camos
The multiplayer challenges are similar to how they worked in previous CoDs, bar the addition of the new Military camos and Special camos. You’ll get a few extra skin types and challenges to complete to progress. The process for getting Multiplayer Camos is as follows:

| Gold | Complete all Military and Special Camos for the weapon and then get 10 Double Kills or better with that weapon (for launchers, get 3 Destructions in a single match 10 times instead). |
| Diamond | Earn the Gold Camo for all weapons in the same Weapon Class and then get 3 kills without dying 10 times with that weapon (for launchers, get 3 kills in a single match with that weapon 10 times instead). |
| Dark Spine | Earn the Diamond Camo for all weapons in the game and then get 3 Triple Kills or better with that weapon (for launchers, get 5 Destructions in a single match 3 times instead). |
| Dark Matter | Earn the Dark Spine for all weapons in the game and then get 5 kills without dying 3 times with that weapon (for launchers, get 5 kills in a single match with that weapon 3 times instead). |

BO6 Zombies Mastery Camos
Like with Multiplayer, Zombies players will need to work through each weapon and then each Mastery Camo one at a time. You can get it both solo or with others. The process is as follows:

| Mystic Gold | Complete all Military and Special Camos for the weapon and then get 10 Rapid Kills 15 times with that weapon. |
| Opal | Earn the Mystic Gold Camo for all weapons in the same Weapon Class and then kill 30 Special Zombies with that weapon. |
| Afterlife | Earn the Opal Camo for all weapons in the game and then get 20 consecutive kills without taking damage 10 times. |
| Nebula | Earn the Afterlife Camo for all weapons in the game and then kill 10 Elite Zombies with that weapon. |

BO6 Warzone Mastery Camos
This is the first time Warzone has been included in the camo challenge grind. However, the process is not too different to the Zombies and Multiplayer grinds:

| Gold Tiger | Complete all Military and Special Camos for the weapon and then get 5 kills while being Most Wanted. |
| King’s Ransom | Earn the Gold Tiger Camo for all weapons in the same Weapon Class and then get 3 kills without dying 5 times. |
| Catalyst | Earn the King’s Ransom Camo for all weapons in the game and then get 5 kills on enemies affected by your Stun, Flashbang, or Shock Charge. |
| Abyss | Earn the Catalyst for all weapons in the game and then get 5 kills without dying 2 times. |
