- The fight against Whiteclad Noble in Black Myth Wukong has two phases.
- Be patient while waiting for an opening, take advantage of Immobilize as often as you can.
- The boss becomes more mobile and will have better range on his attacks during the second phase.
The Whiteclad Noble in Black Myth Wukong is one of the many imposing bosses you’ll square off against during the game. As his name suggests, he dons a white outfit while brandishing a spear for some quick yet effective attacks in combat.
This boss may not seem like much at first but his fast moves are also deceptively strong. If you’re caught slacking at any point during the fight, he’ll make quick work of you and send you right back to the nearest spawn point.
How to defeat Whiteclad Noble
The encounter with this boss will be a test of your reflexes since the Whiteclad Noble can reach you easily with his moves and mobility. This fight is made up of two phases, so make sure you’re prepared to take this guy down twice in one go. He’s perhaps the earliest case of one of the hardest bosses in Black Myth Wukong.
First phase
Get ready to dodge to the side as soon as the fight begins. The boss likes to kick things off by lunging forward and attacking you with a quick thrust from his spear. From there, Whiteclad Noble will hop around the area a lot while swinging his weapon with a barrage of attacks.
Keeping your distance while waiting for an opening may be tempting at this point, but you should also watch out for his long-ranged moves. If you need to hang back, watch out for the Whiteclad Noble’s spear throw, dash attack, and a move where he performs a series of rapid swings with his weapon. This last move will cause blades of water to shoot out from his position.
When the boss does a set of attacks, keep an eye out for when he ends a flurry with a big back swing or a lunging thrust. This will leave him open for a bit, giving you time to land a few hits of your own. Stay patient while waiting for these openings and you should get past this phase without a problem.
Second phase
During the second half of the fight, the Whiteclad Noble will be much more deliberate with his attacks and have improved mobility. His lunging thrust will have better range and he’ll perform sweeping attacks as he glides through the battlefield.
Though the way he moves will change at this point, your strategy against this boss should remain mostly the same. A properly timed dodge when he performs his lunge attack or one-handed swing will give you a chance to launch a quick counterattack or restore some health. You should also try hitting the boss with Immobilize as often as you can for more opportunities to land some attacks.
