The Apex Legends Doppelgangers end time is closing in. With Respawn Entertainment’s Halloween event well underway, it’s the perfect time to jump in if you haven’t already. But when did it begin, and how long have you got left to play?

Apex Legends Doppelganger event start time

The Apex Legends Doppelganger Halloween event began on October 17. An update for the game dropped on the day, after which the event went live at 6 PM BST/10 AM ET.

Apex Legends Doppelganger event end time

The Doppelganger event is set to end on October 31, presumably at 6 PM BST/10 AM EST. Once it ends, all event related goodies will become unavailable to earn, so be sure to grind out some hours beforehand if there’s something in particular that you want.

The Doppelganger event’s end will coincide with the end to the current season, and the long awaited launch of Apex Legends Season 19.

There are a few different features this event offers, from new game modes and map designs to fresh loot and skins. Here’s what to expect from this year’s Halloween event for Apex Legends.

The 2022 Apex Legends Halloween event, Fight or Fright, featured a different game mode called Shadow Royale, in which defeated legends would respawn as deadly shadow enemies.

Tricks N’ Treats Trios

The special gamemode for the event, this spooky spin on regular battle royale trios includes some additional features designed to spice up the gameplay in interesting ways.

First is Candy. A consumable you’ll find scattered around the map, picking up Candy will grant you EVO points, Ultimate ability charge, and regenerate up to 25 shield hit points.

Second are Copycat Kits. Picking up one of these rare items will grant you an extra ability from a different Legend for the duration of the match. Combined with Candy, there should be some great potential for mayhem during this event.

After Dark Maps

Continuing the Halloween theme, After Dark Maps are a limited-time visual overhaul to a number of your favourite maps. Olympus, King’s Canyon, and World’s Edge will all receive new spooky lighting and decorations to drive home the atmosphere for the duration of the celebrations.

Revenant’s Prestige skin

If you’ve been following Apex’s journey of Revenant Reborn, you’ll know that Revenant has been getting plenty of love lately, and that’s set to continue during the Halloween event. The Doppelganger event is finally bringing us Revenant’s Prestige skin.

Prestige skins are a special type of legendary skin with exceptional design and multiple unlockable tiers. Revenant’s skin, Apex Horror, takes some strong seasonal inspiration to create an undead knight design. Once equipped, you’ll be able to level it up from tier one to three through earning kills and finishing challenges.

To get this skin you can of course spend currency as usual, however you can also get it for free if you’re able to collect all 24 event skins before the 31st.

Limited time Doppelganger event rewards and cosmetics

It wouldn’t be much of an event without some great loot to collect. There are 24 unique skins for both weapons and Legends that you’ll be able to get your hands on for the duration of Doppelganger’s run. These range from new Legend skins and banner frames to weapon skins in Halloween attire.

You’ve got a few ways to get your hands on these skins and rewards. You can buy skins with Apex Coins and Crafting Materials, or unlock them at random through Doppelganger Event Packs. You can also earn up to 1400 points a day through play on the Reward Tracker, which will give simultaneous progress to the Season Pass if you’ve anything left to unlock from it.
