If you’re wondering what the PSVR trade in price is, here’s what different retailers are saying it’s worth right now.

The PSVR 2 release date was in early 2023, meaning you might be interested in trading in your old headset. The PSVR, which we’ve compared with the PSVR 2, was PlayStation’s original entry into the VR market.

It enjoyed a successful life-span, though now its time in the sun has elapsed and its successor is here. In light of the PSVR’s incompatibility with the PSVR 2, many might be thinking it’s time to cash in their old headset while they still can.

Here’s the PSVR trade in price’s we’ve found so far:

If you’re in the UK, you can currently trade in your old PSVR for £60, according to gameXchange. This isn’t a particularly fetching price, especially considering the cost of the PSVR 2.

If you’re in the US, you might have a slightly trickier time. Currently, wecelltrade is offering to take your PSVR off your hands for $0, which is not exactly promising at all. Either there’s a serious mistake on their website, or they genuinely think people would be willing to ‘trade’ it in for free.

The PSVR community has even asked where the best place is to sell your PSVR, and it seems the response is to look to third-party resellers such as Craig’s List and eBay. For example, the PSVR is on sale for $120 on eBay, which is actually quite promising.

Unfortunately, there’s not really much chance that the PSVR will fetch you a reasonable price if you try and trade it in using a dedicated retailer, and your best bet will actually be to look to online resellers instead. Will the PSVR trade in price change after the PSVR 2’s release?

You can only imagine that the PSVR trade in price will only get smaller as time continues. In fact, the demand for the original PSVR will likely plummet after the release of the PSVR 2 as the original console will be nearly 7 years old.

In all honesty, your best bet might be to hold onto the PSVR for even longer, in the hopes that the price sees a freak increase at some point in the future.

We’re going to be keeping an eye out for updates on the PSVR trade in price, however it seems unlikely that much will change for the better.
