XDefiant is the new multiplayer shooter on the block. It’s been a long time coming as the game suffered several internal delays, but, thankfully, it is now out for everyone to enjoy. It is a free-to-play game and this unfortunately means that it is littered with microtransactions. While there is a lot of microtransactions, XDefiant players right now can grab two skins for free.

While buying the battle pass will put you on course to unlocking a bunch of rewards, there are a couple of skins you can grab for free right now without needing to spend any currency in-game.
How to get XDefiant free skins
PS5 players can get two XDefiant skins for free from the PSN store. This is provided you are a PS Plus subscriber. It doesn’t matter whether you are Essential, Extra, or Premium, you just need a subscription to get the bundle at no extra cost.
The bundle was released on May 21st to coincide with the game’s launch and it comes with the following skins:
- Crimson Iselda Skin
- Red Marbled M4A1 Skin
Unfortunately, it is only free for PS Plus subscribers on PS5. It is available to get from the Ubisoft store, but it costs £6.99.
XDefiant is crossplay and it supports cross-progression, too. So, if you are fortunate to enough to own a PC or Xbox in addition to a PS5, you will be able to unlock the skin for free on PlayStation and carry it over to PC and Xbox.
