Wuthering Waves is set for a huge start to 2025 with the beginning of a brand new chapter. This new chapter will bring forth the arrival of a fresh explorable region, and it will also mark the game’s debut on PlayStation consoles. Kuro Games has just announced the Wuthering Waves 2.0 livestream date and start time, and it will reveal everything about the new playable characters and more.
The release date for Wuthering Waves 2.0 and PS5 is January 2nd. Leaks have shown an assortment of new animal and NPC models, as well as a new visual setting and some essential features fans have wanted since day one. In addition, leaks have shared some unfortunate news about the glider/flight ability revealed at The Game Awards 2024.
While a lot of details have already been unearthed through leaks, Kuro Games will confirm all of the necessary information about 2.0 during their imminent livestream.
Wuthering Waves 2.0 livestream start date and time
The start date and time for the Wuthering Waves 2.0 livestream is 3AM PT/6AM ET/11AM GMT on December 21st. This has just been confirmed by Kuro on the game’s official X account.
You will be able to watch the livestream live on either Twitch or YouTube. If you’re unable to catch it live, it will be uploaded to the game’s official YouTube channel as a VOD for players to watch at whim.
During the stream, it’s likely Kuro will reveal new codes for players to redeem, so we recommend watching the preview live if possible so you can redeem the codes as soon as possible before they quickly expire.
New characters
The new characters for Wuthering Waves 2.0 are Carlotta and Roccia. Both are 5-stars, and it’s expected that Carlotta will come out first, but the official banner order will be confirmed during the livestream, as will the accompanying banner characters.
Carlotta is a new female hero who “infuses the profound beauty of art into every strike, cradling radiant crystallites in her hands to deliver an elegant eulogy”. She is “the second daughter of the esteemed Montelli family,” and she “embodies innate nobility and a refined appreciation for art”.
As for Roccia, she is the other 5-star character for 2.0. She is a “gifted improvisational comedian and the First Mate of the Fool’s Troupe, known for her mastery of stage props”. She also carries a “Peculiar Box” that houses “A cascade of confetti and ribbons in countless hues, dazzling Luceanites, and fireworks that light up the theater with joy”.
