Update 2.0 will kickstart the new year for Wuthering Waves. There are two new playable characters that will become available in Roccia and Carlotta, and the game will become available on console. In addition, according to new leaks, Wuthering Waves update 2.0 will introduce new features players have craved since day one of the game’s launch.

In conjunction with the release of 2.0 at the beginning of January, WuWa will finally debut on PS5 consoles. Leaks accurately revealed the two new playable characters joining the world of Solaris-3, and new leaks have shown gorgeous skins that the community are ready to instantly buy when they become available.

While new characters, skins, and the launch on PS5 is excellent news, fans will also be happy over the alleged new features part of Wuthering Waves 2.0.

Wuthering Waves 2.0 new features leak

As shared on the WutheringWavesLeaks subreddit, leaker Team_Gemberry78 has shared a list of new features that will reportedly be part of 2.0. Below is the alleged list of new features set to be introduced:

  • Drifter gender switch, cooldown 24-hours
  • Material exchange: same-level material swamp (can exchange for new materials, 50% loss)
  • No UI mode add
  • Ray tracing (beta version, cannot be enabled in 2.0)
  • Quick lock on sound phantoms
  • 24-level data bank

The above are merely leaks rather than anything official. However, if accurate, it is fantastic news that we will be able to change between the male and female MC. It hasn’t been possible to change the MC’s gender after making the initial choice, so the ability to switch between the male and female option at whim would be huge.

The ability to remove the UI/HUD would be excellent, too, to help provide a full cinematic presentation that makes the game look even better and cleaner. Being able to remove the HUD and change gender has been two features fans have desired since the game’s launch, so we hope they are getting added in 2.0 as reported.
