We are currently in the greatest time of the year as we celebrate all things wicked and evil. If you’re looking for the release date and end date for the MW2 and Warzone Haunting event, you’ve come to the right place. The event is currently underway and there’s plenty of spooky spectacles to anticipate, including the return of the limited-time mode, Zombie Royale.

Call of Duty has some truly amazing skins on offer this Halloween. There’s the famous rogue, Skeletor, from He-Man, and there’s also the legendary Ash Williams from The Evil Dead series. Away from the world of television and movies, Lillith from Diablo 4 has joined the battlefield as well. There’s even bonuses for those who play Call of Duty during this event in Diablo 4 as well. So without wasting any more time, let’s dive into the start times for The Haunting Event in MW2.

The Warzone Halloween event start time is October 2018.

MW2 and Warzone The Haunting event end date

According to the in-game timer, the MW2 and Warzone Haunting event is around 20 days long and will come to a close on November 6, 2023, just four days before the Modern Warfare 3 release date set for November 10. We expect the end time to be at the usual time for Warzone updates – 9am PT/12pm ET/5pm BST – but we’ve yet to hear official confirmation. We’ll update when we can confirm.

MW2 and Warzone The Haunting event modes

Arguably, the biggest limited-time mode is the returning Zombie Royale. This is an annual LTM that Call of Duty fans should be all too familiar with. It brings back the living dead, and the goal is to massacre zombies in Al Mazrah and Vondel. If you are slain by a fellow player, you turn into an undead monster yourself. And, ultimately, it’s last man standing wins.

Away from Zombie Royale, the Warzone Haunting 2023 event also brings Vondead Lockdown, according to Activision. The aim of this mode is to work together in teams to capture and hold zones around the map. The only difference this time is a spooky atmosphere thanks to playing soldier at night under an ominous moonlight.

In other Call of Duty news, Microsoft has finally finished the Activision and Blizzard deal for Xbox. Modern Warfare 3 will not join Xbox Game Pass in November 2023, but the series is bound to join the subscription service sometime in the future.

As for Modern Warfare 3 itself, the betas are now coming to an end. The beta has been a lot of fun, but it’s also been fairly flawed, with fans agreeing Estate is the worst map.
