The recent lack of feature additions within Warzone 2 has seemingly forced major streamers and a large number of community members to abandon the action-packed CoD match offering for other games. As the battle royale’s Twitch viewership numbers steadily reaches an all-time low, jaded fans are apparently continuing to abandon the game for greener grass elsewhere.

According to a particularly informative post on Reddit, Warzone 2 streaming statistics are down all across the board. It’s currently only ranked at #19 on the list of most watched games on Twitch – a far cry from the top five ranking that it often boasted during its early days.

This revelation doesn’t exactly come as a surprise to many following the news of Modern Warfare 2’s player count dropping below 90,000 for the first time since launch. Some commenters under the aforementioned thread have even noted that this was an inevitable conclusion since shooting AI bots at the same stronghold for months does eventually become repetitive.

One player has seemingly given up on the game entirely after saying that “Warzone 2 is a lost cause.” The same user would then go on to mention that the battle royale is “fundamentally broken and not fun” and that Infinity Ward’s “vision directly conflicts with what players want.” Even though the developers have steadily reintroduced fan-favorite game modes, such as Gunfight and Infected, over the past couple of months, this still hasn’t been enough to prevent the Warzone 2 mass exodus from happening.

Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem like the gradual decline of the game’s player base is going to stop any time soon since Infinity Ward and Raven Software don’t seem too keen on addressing player concerns. Hopefully, the next 2023 CoD installment will present a much better experience to fans in order to prevent a reoccurrence of this Warzone 2 mass exodus.
