Mortal Kombat 1 remains one of the best games of the year, especially for fans of the fighting genre. It has an excellent campaign, its fatalities are as delightfully brutal and gory as ever, and the MK1 roster is stuffed with everyone’s fan-favorite kombatants. Not to mention, these characters look extra fantastic thanks to the gorgeous graphics. As with every installment, there is a new costume for each hero and villain, and this Mortal Kombat 1 Kitana cosplay hits the mark with a one-to-one recreation of the base MK1 outfit.
The fighting games community is always one of the most active and vocal. They are also some of the most creative and talented from mods to fan art, and particularly cosplays. There are dozens of impressive cosplays online, but this recreation of MK1 Kitana demands to be seen.
Unbelievably good Mortal Kombat 1 Kitana cosplay
Instagram model and cosplayer, Oichi, has shared a magnificent cosplay of Kitana from Mortal Kombat 1. It is a full one-to-one recreation of NetherRealm’s new outfit for the princess, and every detail looks incredible. Everything is completely accurate to NetherRealm’s design from the headpiece to the blue and silver face mask to the gear around the neck. The hair is also identical to the style used in MK1, and so too is the light makeup around the eyes.
The cosplay perfectly portrays the chest piece worn in the game, as well as the gear around the wrists. All of it sports dark navy blue along with lines of shiny silver. Going a step above, she also rocks the deadly fan blades that can chop a person’s head off and cause a fountain of blood. Again, these are a one-to-one recreation of what’s in the game, albeit not quite as sharp or fatal. Check out her Instagram reel to see the full cosplay transform her normal self into the famed princess of blue.
Check out Oichi’s Instagram for more video game cosplays including Shadowheart from Baldur’s Gate 3, Jill Valentine from Resident Evil, and Cammy from Street Fighter 6. You can follow her on Twitter at ladyoichichan, and she also shows off more of her cosplays on TikTok. If you’d like to see more of her Kitana, she has also created the Kitana outfit from MK9.
In other cosplay news, this Margot Robbie lookalike is spellbinding as Jinx from League of Legends. This bodybuilder’s Baldur’s Gate 3 Karlach cosplay is 10/10 just like the game, and this Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 cosplay turns Mary Jane into Lady Venom.
If you’re a fan of Mortal Kombat 1, you can now get the Omni Man DLC. This superhero is actually voiced by its TV series voice actor, J.K. Simmons, unlike the upcoming Homelander DLC which is not voiced by actor Anthony Starr. If you don’t already own MK1, then you can buy it at a 30% discount during the ongoing PSN store Black Friday sale 2023. It is 30% off on PC for the Steam Black Friday sale, too.
