Baldur’s Gate 3 is an incredible experience. It’s one of the best games of the century let alone year, and that’s because of its story combined with its fun CRPG gameplay. Another beloved component is the companions from Astarion and Laezel to Wyll and Shadowheart. However, arguably the most popular companion is the buff tiefling Karlach. In honor of the game, a Baldur’s Gate 3 Karlach cosplay from a fitness coach and bodybuilder is 10/10 spectacular.
It has been a remarkably great year for video game releases, and The Game Awards 2023 GOTY nominees are jam-packed with fantastic titles that deserve to take home the trophy. Baldur’s Gate 3 is the favorite of many to win game of the year, but we won’t know until Geoff Keighley hosts the awards ceremony on December 7th.
While we won’t know the game of the year winner until a few weeks before Christmas, everybody already knows that Baldur’s Gate 3 is a 10/10 masterpiece that will hopefully get better in the future with something aching to a definitive edition. And, speaking of masterpieces, this Karlach cosplay is unbelievably good.

A Baldur’s Gate 3 Karlach cosplay from maxiumclaire on Instagram is incredible. It only shows the face rather than her full physique, but it’s remarkable how much her face resembles Karlach’s in-game model. The cosplayer notes that it’s only a work-in-progress so far as they are aiming to sculpt prosthetics for the scars and infernal engine, and they have plans for both the chest and shoulder vents to light up. The full cosplay should be amazing when it comes out, but, in its current state, it’s already fantastic from just the face alone.
There’s the broken horn at the top of her forehead, her yellow contacts perfectly replicate Karlach’s yellow cat eyes, and there’s also the large and pointy tiefling ears. In addition, the hair is amazing, and it’s a wig from a Jessica Jones cosplay from back in 2016 all cut, colored, and restyled by maximumclaire herself. Again, it’s simply astounding how much her face just mirrors the in-game model, and we cannot wait to see the full getup.
While we cannot see the full getup right now, we already know she has the muscular physique to pull it off. She’s a gym coach at Rose City Barbell, and her Instagram is flooded with pictures and reels showing her progress lifting heavy weights. Her Instagram is also jampacked with other spellbinding cosplays such as Vi from Arcane and a female version of Disney’s Hercules.
