The Pokémon Company is promising a week of surprise reveals and events for several Pokémon games in the lead up Pokémon Day 2022 this Sunday.

While the company isn’t being too specific, the Japanese arm has offered a graphic giving us some clues. They included mobile game Pokémon Masters Ex today, Pokémon Sword and Shield tomorrow, Pokémon Cafe Mix on Wednesday, Pokémon Unite on Thursday and Pokémon Go on Saturday. (The missing day there is Friday, which the graphic implies will be related to the Pokémon 25 music album released last year.)

That’ll lead into Pokémon Day itself on the Sunday. Notable by their absence is the three most recent Pokémon games for the Nintendo Switch. New Pokémon Snap, Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl and last month’s Pokémon Legends: Arceus. Fans are hoping for an announcement for those games, but we’ll have to wait and see.

The press release tells us the Pokemon News UK Twitter account will have the English language news, so we’ll have to keep our eye there for more. Could we see an expansion announcement for Snap or Legends? We’ll have to see what comes up. Rest assured, we’ll let you know should we hear more.

In the meantime, you can check out Josh’s musings on Pokémon Legends: Arceus that he posted over the weekend over here. Pokémon Day 2022 will take place on the 26th anniversary of the Japanese launch of Pokémon Green and Pokémon Red: February 27.
