The First Descendant’s new update adds infuriating bug for grinders

Nexon has released the second half of The First Descendant Season 1. This is an amazing patch that introduces the long-anticipated Ultimate Freyna along with some new modules for Hailey. There is a lot more included in the update, and Nexon has shared some issues that have come with The First Descendant update 1.1.4. Unfortunately, these issues include an infuriating bug for grinders in the newly added 400% Infiltration Operations.

You can check out the update 1.1.4 patch notes to see all of the changes and new content from Nexon. The obvious highlight is Ultimate Freyna, but there is also a new boss fight along with Halloween skins. As for the future, Nexon has teased exciting plans for Season 2 and beyond.

While the new update is largely fantastic, there are some issues that The First Descendant developer will hopefully fix ASAP.

The First Descendant update 1.1.4 bugs

Below are the new known issues and bugs that have come with The First Descendant update 1.1.4:

• The issue where sound does not play during the preview of Emotes in the shop
• The issue of the Reward Info not updating when selecting a 400% kill score multiplier in the Infiltration Operation
  • It has been confirmed that the Reward Info does not change when the 400% kill score multiplier is selected, making it impossible to check the obtained rewards.
• Inventory Reactor ‘Sort by’ Text Display Error
  • It has been identified that some text in the list of ‘Sort by’ in the Inventory Reactor is not being displayed correctly.
• [PS5] Voice Chat Issue When Creating a Party on PS4 Platform
  • It has been identified that voice chat does not function properly when creating a party on the PS4 platform.

Voice chat issues are annoying, but the most damning bug is definitely the issue with 400% Infiltration Operations. This is the new highest difficulty added in update 1.1.4, and not being able to check the obtained rewards is infuriating for players hoping to grind.

In addition to all of the above, there is also a resolved issue compensation coming for players:

• (Resolved) The issue of consuming 1 Caliber when clicking Confirm at 0 seconds remaining on Accelerate Research
  • Calibers consumed due to this issue before update 1.1.4 will be compensated via mail, and it will be updated on this notice once the compensation is complete.

While the newly announced issues are disappointing, the good news is that Nexon is usually quick at providing fixes. Hopefully these issues will be resolved soon with update 1.1.4b.
