The First Descendant Ultimate Freyna will “not be as easy” to farm as Ult Valby

The First Descendant Season 1 has been a lot of fun so far with the introduction of Hailey Scott. She’s quickly become a fan-favorite within the community, and fans are hopeful the new character in Season 2 will be just as good. However, before Season 2 arrives, Ultimate Freyna is set to join The First Descendant, and Nexon has discussed how difficult she will be to farm.

There is no update for TFD this week, but Nexon has already confirmed some changes and fixes for when update 1.1.3 arrives. Nexon’s most recent patch implemented a lot of buffs, and fans have discovered a weapon build so OP it is capable of “70+ million damage per minute“.

While fans are eagerly anticipating patch 1.1.3 after the developer’s well-deserved hiatus, the community is even more pumped for the arrival of Ultimate Freyna. She is set to debut in just under a month, and The First Descendant players better be ready to farm.

The First Descendant discusses how difficult it will be to unlock Ultimate Freyna

The First Descendant developer, Nexon, conducted an interview with Korean outlet, Inven, at the beginning of Season 1. The interview was conducted with producer, Lee Beom-jun, and director, Jumin Seok.

During the interview, the developers were asked how difficult Ultimate Freyna will be to unlock. Unfortunately, there’s no mention of whether the answer was given by the producer or director, but they claimed it is a “middle line between the First Ultimate and the Ultimate Valby”.

The interview is naturally in Korean so there are a few inaccuracies with spelling through Google Translate, but the developer also stated, “It’s not extremely difficult, but it’s not as easy to get as Valby”.

Lastly, for the rationale behind the difficulty, they explained, “If you make it too easy, it will speed up the depletion of content, and if it is too difficult, it will become a barrier”.

There’s no specifics as to how she will be harder to unlock than Valby, but at least we know what Nexon is aiming for come October 10th. Of course, it’s possible changes could be made pending on player feedback as Nexon improved the farming rate for Hailey twice following complaints from the community.

On The First Descendant subreddit, some fans believe now is the best week to farm for Ultimate Freyna reactors before she drops. They’re available in Vespers, Timberfall region, and the “best mission to run is Timberfall Power Facility”.
