Rapid The First Descendant hotfix on the way to fix Season 2 issues

The First Descendant Season 2 just recently launched. All of the content is fantastic, and the season will continue to get better as we enter the new year. Unfortunately, the launch hasn’t been smooth thanks to several problems. The good news is that Nexon are aware of the problems, and they have announced an upcoming hotfix that will fix some of the issues introduced in The First Descendant Season 2.

There is a lot for the TFD community to anticipate. Nexon’s roadmap reveals plans all the way up until February, meanwhile, the developer has discussed additions planned for the rest of 2025. These proposals include crossovers with other huge IPs, more customization options such as tattoos, and the introduction of “jiggle physics” for character models.

While all of the above is stuff to anticipate for the future, fans don’t need to wait too long for Nexon to deliver a hotfix that will resolve some of the The First Descendant Season 2 issues.

The First Descendant Season 2 hotfix is coming soon

On the game’s official X account, Nexon has announced an imminent hotfix for The First Descendant. This hotfix is scheduled for 7PM PT/10PM ET on December 6th, as well as 3AM GMT on December 7th.

Below are the key patch notes from Nexon:

• Improved visibility of Void Vessel Recording Device.
• Changed the entry for Void Vessel Story Mode (Recording Device) from “Seneca” to “Void Vessel Operation Terminal.”
• Fixed an issue where players who met the unlock conditions for Void Vessel Hard Mode were unable to enter.
• Fixed an issue where discounts were not applied when purchasing Fellow Bundle if certain items were already owned.

In addition to the above, Nexon explained why they are making the Void Vessel Content accessible via the Void Vessel Operations Terminal. Per the developer, “due to unclear quest guidance, many players have misunderstood that they must complete the Data Recorder Collection stage to progress. This has caused difficulties for many players attempting to complete the quest”.

Beyond the upcoming hotfix, Nexon “plan to further refine the ‘Collect Recording Devices’ side quest through a future hotfix for a smoother gameplay experience”.
