The Finals dev teases “official leak-week” is here for Season 4

Soon we will see the arrival of The Finals Season 4. It is now only a few weeks away judging by the in-game countdown, and we know when will be getting an official first look at the upcoming chapter. While Embark has remained very tight-lipped, the developer has also teased an “official leak-week” for The Finals Season 4 is here.

Judging by the in-game countdown, the release date for The Finals Season 4 is September 25th. We know we will be getting a preview of the game at San Diego TwitchCon on September 20th, and so far we have only been treated to teases. The developer has confirmed at least four new tracks part of the S4 OST, and the developer has also teased their “absolute favorite weapon” will be arriving.

While teases are all well and good, hopefully we will soon be treated some ‘leaks’ that give us a good clue as to the game’s upcoming theme and new location.

The Finals dev teases “official leak-week” for Season 4

On The Finals Discord, Embark Rob has teased “official leak-week” for The Finals Season 4. A fan posted, “Whenever Rob types in chat, you know damn well that you’re getting information,” and to this Rob responded, “Nah, the official leak-week start next week… “.

The message was posted on August 31st, so “next week” seemingly implied between September 2nd and 8th. It could be in jest, but Rob has developed a reputation on the game’s Discord for ‘leaking’ information about new upcoming content for the game.

In addition to the above message, Rob again reiterated that he really wants to a leak a track part of the Season 4 OST. Rob posted, “I would LIKE to leak an entire track, since I really like them… but I’m not at the office and they are not done yet, hehe”.

As a follow-up to really wanting to leak an S4 track, Rob then said, “BUT SOON (as long as Dusty isn’t around, hehe)”.

Hopefully we do get a leaked portion of a Season 4 song. This happened with Season 3 before its launch via the CNS, and it helped players immediately guess that the Season 3 theme was Japan.

Right now there are no glaring clues as to the theme of Season 4 and the new map location. Fans speculate that the Season 4 map location is Rome or Pompeii, but it’s merely guesses as of writing. We will make sure to cover any leaks if and when they surface.
