One of the biggest debacles of The Finals Season 3 has been World Tour. It is currently a fan-favorite because it is home to Cashout which fans universally prefer much more to Terminal Attack. While fans love Cashout and hope for it to return to Ranked in Season 4, some fans are frustrated over receiving penalties for leaving games early. To help avoid such frustration, The Finals fans have shared how to leave World Tour matches without getting banned provided teammates have already departed.
You can check out the update 3.6.0 patch notes to see all the big changes recently made to Cashout. While most of the changes have gone down well, fans argue there is no reason not to self-kill anymore to help your team to victory. A new update is expected to arrive this week as per usual, and some fans are hoping Embark will buff the most “pathetic” gun in the game.
While it remains to be seen what is changed and fixed in the forthcoming update, some fans are hoping Embark will eventually fix generalization punishments for leaving World Tour matches early.
On The Finals subreddit, OP Turbulent_Bid_0 shared a post titled, ‘Why am I still getting banned for leaving World Tour when I don’t have a full team?’. Their post says, “How is this still a thing?! It should be such an obvious thing. No one wants to play a team game solo. And now I’ve been banned for an hour”.
In laymen terms, the gripe in the OP’s post is with being punished for leaving a match early because their teammates have already departed. When playing solo against a full team, the experience is unfair and simply not fun, so leaving as a consequence of others already quitting shouldn’t result in punishment.
Fortunately, as shared in the replies, there is a way to leave and avoid a penalty. It’s important to stress that this is only for if other teammates have left, and is not something to take advantage of simply because your full squad, or you individually, are performing badly.
Per one of the top replies, to leave without a ban, you must “Wait until it says ‘X player has left’ and the scoreboard no longer shows their name (just dashes)”. Per another reply, “You can do it regardless of the amont of people that leave, even if only one person leaves”.
Another user replied, “For some extra context, it doesn’t say they ‘left’ until they physically click the leave game button, or a short time after they disconnect (disconnect meaning they quit manually, game crashed, had a bug preventing initial connection, or they lost connection)”.
