The Finals has been an absolutely amazing multiplayer experience ever since launch, and it has a lot of devoted fans amongst its strong community. However, because it doesn’t have a playerbase as hefty as Helldivers 2 and Fortnite, there’s been constant worries that the game is not popular and is dying. Fortunately, Embark has provided the minimum daily player count for The Finals to alleviate any concerns.

There is a lot to anticipate for The Finals with Season 3 approaching just over the horizon. The developer has confirmed a new map along with a massive new comms feature set to be introduced in Season 3, meanwhile, a leak has shown an insanely cute pet set to join the game soon.

We absolutely cannot wait to see what new gadgets and weapons will be introduced in Season 3, and we also cannot wait to see the new playground that will be added. The Finals has massive potential, and it also has a healthy daily player count that the community needn’t worry about.

Embark reveals minimum daily player count for The Finals

As shared by Reddit user MasterFish19, The Finals developer has revealed the official minimum player count for the game. This comes courtesy of Embark employee, Dusty, on the game’s Discord.

There has been a lot of fans worried about the game’s player count. We even reported that The Finals has lost 66% of players since the start of Season 2, which, on the surface, isn’t good news at all. As of writing on May 9th, SteamDB shows that its player count has dropped to a 24-hour peak of 16, 543, which is a substantial drop from its highest peak of 242, 619 five months ago.

However, it’s important to acknowledge that this is for Steam only, and the 24-hour peak is only for concurrent players. This means there are not only 16,000 people playing The Finals on Steam on a daily basis, it just means the most amount of people playing at the same time was 16,000+.

On Discord, a user estimated that the monthly active users for The Finals is between 400,000 and 500,000. To this, Embark Dusty replied, “Since launch, we’ve never dropped below 300K DAU (daily active users) with all platforms combined”.

So there you have it. Of course, this takes into account PlayStation, PC, and Xbox, and it’s important to remember that 300,000 is only the minimum. This means that even more than 300,000 are playing The Finals on a daily basis even though it is not all simultaneous.

This should ease the worries of any fans concerned about the game’s longevity and it dying. Although the player count isn’t comparable to other hot commodities like Helldivers 2 which has a 24-hour peak of over 100,00 on Steam alone, The Finals daily active users of over 300,000 is still impressive and healthy.
