The Finals has lots of great drip from cosmetics to play dress up to weapon skins that turn a sledgehammer into a big spoon. While all of the skins added to the game have been amazing so far, there’s nothing that can compete with this insanely cute and adorable pet found by The Finals community within the game files.
Make sure to check out The Finals update 2.7.0 patch notes to see the latest round of bug fixes. Right now we are in the final stages of Season 2, and the developer has confirmed that there will be a new map along with the introduction of a massive new comms feature for Season 3. Judging by the current in-game battle pass countdown, Season 3 is scheduled to begin on June 11th.
We cannot wait for Season 3, and we’re excited to see what new gadgets and weapons Embark introduce. Not only that, but we’re also excited for more skins along with this adorable dog leaked by the community.
The Finals leak reveals incoming dog pet
Shared on Reddit by Killllerr, it appears that a dog pet is coming to The Finals. As per the OP, this leak comes from in-game files, and it was supposedly added on May 2nd.
The Reddit post is accompanied by a short clip that shows the dog hanging off the back of the player character with its tongue wagging and its cute little paws resting on the player character’s shoulder. Not only that, but it is decorated in gear such as headphones to cover its ears and goggles to protect its eyes.

Judging by the clip, the dog will presumably act as a backpack. If so, we cannot wait for its arrival as even the most cold-hearted person couldn’t deny that it’s insanely cute. In addition to this leaked clip, Embark Rob hinted at the addition of a dog in the recent Reddit AMA. In response to a query about favorite outfits, Rob posted the following message:
“There’s a very long list of favorites that have been popular since launch. Honorable mention could be the Conspirakitten. So maybe it’s time for a dog now… “.
Even though it’s leaked, there’s no suggestion as to when the dog will come out. It could possibly arrive before Season 2 ends, but it could also potentially arrive during Season 3. Either way, we absolutely cannot wait to take to the battlefield with a good boy watching our back. In the meantime, make sure to sign the developer’s petition to make an awesome skin idea a reality.
