PlayStation has launched the all new PlayStation Plus service in Europe and the UK from today.

In case you’ve not been keeping up, the new version of the service now has three tiers. Firstly there’s Essential, which works largely the same as it did previously with between 2-4 free games a month and online access for £6.99 a month or £49.99 a year. Then, Extra jumps up to £10.99 a month/£83.99 a year but adds a catalogue of hundreds of PS5 and PS4 titles to download and play.

Finally, the Premium tier includes all of that, plus a classics catalogue of original PlayStation, PlayStation 2, PS3 and PSP games. There’s also Cloud Streaming, letting you play the games without downloading them, and Game Trials. This package will cost £13.49 a month, or around £99.99 for the whole year.

At the time of writing, the UK list of games on the Extra tier includes titles like Returnal, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla and Marvel’s Spider-Man Miles Morales. There’s also Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut, Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy and Death Stranding Directors Cut to name but a few.

Meanwhile, our Classics catalogue includes plenty of choices for Premium members. Taking a look at the list, we spot: Ape Escape & its sequel, G-Force, Resident Evil Director’s Cut, Resistance 3, Syphon Filter, Tekken 2 and more. A small downside is that we do seem to be getting the 50Hz versions, but PlayStation says it plans to offer NTSC versions at a later date. You can take a look at the full list of games over here.

To mark the occasion, PlayStation’s also commissioned a live action advert for the All New PlayStation Plus  with plenty of easter eggs for eagle-eyed fans to spot. If you fancy your chances, you can check it out below.
