The Street Fighter 6 Year 1 character pass is almost finished. We were treated to Rashid and A.K.I last year, and we are now set to get the SF6 character pass’ penultimate fighter, Ed. Here you will find the Street Fighter 6 Ed release date and time countdown for when he will come out, along with an explanation of Capcom’s maintenance plus his official moves list and DLC price.

Street Fighter 6 is an incredible fighting game with a huge roster of beloved characters from the past and present. In a round-up of reviews, outlets heavily praised its accessible yet still masterful combat along with the new gorgeous visual art style.

Capcom will continue to support the game with a second character pass, but first, we need to complete SF6 Year 1. Akuma isn’t slated to arrive until spring 2024, but the release date and time for Ed is tomorrow.

Street Fighter 6 Ed DLC release date

The release date for when the Street Fighter 6 Ed DLC will come out is February 27th. This is confirmed by Capcom on the official StreetFighter Twitter account. Again, he’s the penultimate Year 1 character before Akuma finishes the ensemble in spring 2024.

Per Capcom’s character overview, Ed is a ‘Psycho Power-wielding youth aged up rapidly by Shadaloo’s experimentation,’ and he’s ‘on a journey and a mission to free other subjects’. He inherits a ‘short temper and foul mouth’ from his former mentor, Balrog.

He’s 6ft, weighs 190 Ibs, and hates idealists, needles, and M.Bison while favoring boxing and landslide victories. He’s a fan-favorite amongst the community and he will join the game’s star-studded roster in less than a week.

When does Ed come out in Street Fighter 6?

The release time for when Ed will come out in Street Fighter 6 is 12 AM PT/ 3 AM ET/ 8 AM GMT on February 27th. This comes courtesy of the StreetFighter Twitter account’s official maintenance post. The maintenance post has got the dates wrong with February 26th listed as Tuesday and February 27th listed as Wednesday.

But all you need to do know is that maintenance for the SF6 Ed update will begin at 8 PM PT and 11 PM ET on February 26th, as well as 4 AM GMT on February 27th. It will then end at the aforementioned release time hours.

  • Psycho Blitz:
    • Unleashes a series of punches cloaked in Psycho Power
  • Psycho Storm:
    • Ed’s Level 1 Super Art sees him striking opponents with a series of high-speed flicker jabs

  • Psycho Chamber:
