With all the news on Starfield coming out after the Xbox Games Showcase fans have noticed some peculiar price inconsistencies with the game. Everyone loves a good salami sandwich, right? The real question is would you be willing to trade 98 salami sandwiches for a whole spaceship? That’s how much it’ll roughly cost you in Starfield.

Taking to the Starfield Reddit one keen-eyed fan by the name of SpenserB91 found out that the price of the spaceship shown in the Starfield Direct equates to around 98 salami sandwiches in-game. According to screenshots from the Direct one salami sandwich will set you back 75 in-game credits while one of the ships shown was valued at 7375 credits. Either that is a super dodgy ship that should be avoided at all costs or perhaps salami sandwiches are considered somewhat of a delicacy in the Starfield galaxy.

Maybe the reason for the steep price of salami in Starfield is down to a lack of real salami as the community spotted a small detail that predicts a grim fate for Earth. This revelation thankfully provided some much-needed context to the madness of one developer who was shown hoarding the sandwiches during the Starfield Direct. Perhaps we judged them too harshly because if this is true they’re probably the richest player in the Starfield galaxy. One user was also quick to point out that the 75 credit value was only “the resale value” so how much are freshly produced salami sandwiches going for?

While the price is comical one fan pointed out that “these values are probably not representative. At the same time, Bethesda economies have always been absurdly silly and not believable that I could believe this.” Nevertheless, our biggest advice for players jumping into the game on Starfield’s release date on September 6 is to get busy hoarding those salami sandwiches!

Speaking of salami, Starfield players are planning to build huge penis ships, because of course they are. What better way to enjoy a good salami sandwich in your penis rocket than by setting after some bounties as Starfield will let you be an outer space hitman as bounty system gets revealed. We know if there was a bounty on our heads we’d be pretty terrified at the prospect of someone like that hunting us down.
