Skull & Bones, the long-troubled pirate game from Ubisoft, will, according to a leak, be released on November 8th, 2022.

It isn’t only the release date that has leaked, but a slew of pre-order bonuses, too. The news comes from Aggiornamenti Lumia, who reports on listings that appear on the Xbox and Windows stores.

Lumia claimed that the game will be out on November 8th, and tweeted the following (via VGC), regarding the game’s appearance on the Xbox Store:

“Skull & Bones announcement is imminent. Xbox Store listings are ready, some examples:

1) SKULL AND BONES™ PRE-ORDER BONUS
2) Bloody Bones’ Legacy Mission
3) The Ashen Corsair Mission
4) Smuggler Pass Token
5) Digital Soundtrack and Artbook
6) Premium Bonus Pack”

The game has, for a while now, been somethin of a leaky ship. Earlier this week, the game popped up on the Entertainment Software Rating Board. Plus, two weeks ago it appeared on two other rating boards. In April, there was some leaked gameplay footage that made its way online.

It began life as an Assassin’s Creed-adjacent naval swashbuckler. And it looked a lot like Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag. It was even playable at E3 2017—and quite good, by VideoGamer’s account. Last year, there was a report into the culture of the game’s developer, Ubisoft Singapore. The company was under investigation for alleged pay disparities and for claims of sexual harassment.
