Ubisoft’s long-delayed pirate adventure Skull & Bones has now shown up on the ESRB, with a reveal potentially happening next week.

As spotted by Video Games Chronicle, the listing appeared on the English-language body’s website over the weekend. The listing describes the game as featuring ship commanders offering their orders from a first person perspective. The description also reveals how enemy ships will be able to be rammed and bordered, and there’ll also be settlements with opium dens and brothels, as you do.

The news now marks the third ratings board the game has shown up on in the past few months. Just last week, it was reported that the game had showed up on ratings boards in Brazil and South Korea. It seems then, that the game could be closer than ever to reveal, and there might be some truth to that assumption.

At least, according to serial leaker Tom Henderson. Via Try Hard Guides, Henderson cites his sources as claiming Ubisoft will reveal the game the week of July 4. While details on exactly what the reveal will include are vague, Henderson believes Ubisoft will hold a livestream. There, he says, there’ll likely be a developer interviews, gameplay trailers and maybe even a release date.

Back in April, footage from a closed beta preview of Skull & Bones was leaked online. The leak was later acknowledged by Ubisoft, who promised they’d have more information soon. The nautical adventure was first announced all the way back in 2017, and has been through a few reboots along the way. Hopefully, a formal Skull & Bones re-reveal isn’t too far away now.
