Rick And Morty Season 6 is almost here!!!
That’s right, our favourite mad scientist and his perennially anxious grandson are back for more mayhem.
Last we saw Rick and Morty, they were escaping from the destruction of The Citadel of Rick’s.
This destruction came as part of the revelation by Evil Morty that every Morty was created specifically, often by manipulation of the Rick’s, to serve as Rick’s sidekick and shield.
Which then later led to the further revelation that there were in fact infinite other universes besides their own universe, where Rick wasn’t the smartest man in those universes.
And that in order to protect themselves from those other universes, the Ricks built the Central Finite Curve, walling the infinite universe where Rick is the smartest man, away from the others.

05/09/2022: Over the weekend, we were treated to three brand new Rick and Morty videos in the lead up to Season 6’s debut.
The first video gave us our first look at the new opening titles that we’ll see in Season 6:
This was then followed, hilariously, by two more brand new videos that show our favourite interdimensional duo advertising some major US brands beginning with Wendy’s:
And the second promoting the upcoming PlayStation 5 release, God Of War Ragnarok:
Rick and Morty Season 6 Release Date
Season 6 began on September 4th 2022 with the initial six episodes of the season and will return to air its final 4 episodes of the season starting from 20th November 2022.
Where To Watch Season 6
In the US, fans can watch each new episode of Rick and Morty Season 6 as they premiere exclusively on Adult Swim. Also, though unconfirmed at present, fans without a HBO Max subscription will also potentially able to watch the season at a later date on HBO Max and Hulu.
UK fans will be able to watch Season 6 exclusively on E4 and on the All4 streaming service, with a release on Netflix likely coming in the future as has happened with previous seasons.
What can we expect in Season 6
Judging by the latest trailer for Season 6, we’re definitely getting more of the irreverent mayhem and chaos that we’ve come to know and love.
As the action of the trailer plays out to Black Sabbath’s ‘Paranoid’, track 1 no less on Rick’s Favourites Playlist we find out as he prepares for a gun battle right at the start of the trailer.
What follows then is quick teases of the return of alternate Beth. Is she a clone? Is she the original Beth? Will we even find out this season???
As well as a return to the intergalactic arcade, Blitz N Chips, in what looks to be a Summer stand alone episode.
As we see Rick and Morty playing ‘Roy: A Life Well Lived’ as Summer wakes Rick up from the game warning him that an alien army is attacking the arcade.
Only for Rick, true to form, to exasperatedly tell her that it’s only a small group of terrorists and she should “just do a Die Hard”.
Followed by plenty of quick glances at fights, and chases, before a very curious glimpse of what could possibly be Rick attempting to pass through the Finite Curve just as Evil Morty did at the end of the last season.
The trailer then goes on with more fights, chases, and explosions, before rolling the title, and ending on a brilliant sight gag of Rick and Morty seemingly about to record a podcast.
But that’s not the only punchline of the gag, as Morty tells Rick “they want you to say Wubba Lubba Dub Dub at the end, but, but, screw that right”.
To which Rick replies, “Yeah, we’re not whores.”
Rick and Morty Wormageddon
Mystery of Wormageddon
In addition to the Season 6 trailer, Adult Swim have also been releasing a series of short videos titled “Wormageddon”.
Below you can see the first video, “Wormageddon: A Citadel Secret”:
Rick and Morty fans know all too well that those familiar, haunting piano keys are from Blonde Redhead’s ‘For The Damaged Coda’ .
A song synonymous throughout the show with the character of Evil Morty, and based on the song and the explosions in the lab.
Based on this video alone it seems that this moment happens during the destruction of The Citadel Of Ricks during the Season 5 finale.
But, what is in the egg?
Well, that’s where the 2nd video comes in, “Wormageddon: Journey To Earth”:
Right at the beginning of this video, we see The Citadel Of Ricks exploding, confirming this takes place during the Season 5 finale.
Then we see the egg from the first video rocketing through space propelled by the explosion of The Citadel.
Followed by it ricocheting off a variety of objects and celestial bodies like a pinball before passing the sun which illuminates and highlights the silhouettes of the gruesome intergalactic worms inside the egg.
Before showing the egg descending to earth and landing in a volcano. The heat of which causes the egg to crack, releasing the 4 worms inside the egg as they leap towards the screen.
Countdown To Wormageddon
On the Adult Swim Rick And Morty website right now, there is a countdown clock ticking away to Wormaggedon.
Which, based on the hours left right now, indicates that Wormageddon is due to take place at 3pm BST/ 10am EDT/ 7am PDT
Wormageddon Is Here
The countdown timer has hit zero and we’re now officially at Threat Level: Wormageddon.
As the official Rick and Morty website has now been updated with the brand new Wormageddon game, billed as an interactive episode of Rick and Morty.
And based on the final video released for the game above, it confirms an interesting detail for Season 6.
That Rick’s and presumably all the other Rick made portal guns in the universe are still malfunctioning and killing anyone who tries to use their portals.
Per the official site, the aim of the game is to “Help your favourite characters defeat the space worms before they destroy the world”.
It further explains that the first to solve all the clues and discover the hidden locations, will win a life size golden Rick head.
It then goes on to confirm that there are 14 locations in total and that only 5 of these will be revealed to the world.
Once players then click on enter, they are given an interactive globe of earth which can be rotated and viewed as they try to decipher the clues and pinpoint the locations of the worms.
22/08/2022:
The official Rick and Morty website have revealed the first location of the Wormageddon invasion and it’s Mexico City as seen below in this official video showing a statue of one of the worms breaking out of the ground as Beth (Morty’s mother, Rick’s daughter) and Supernova (Leader of the intergalactic superheroes The Vindicators) try to hold it back.
The next location is due to be revealed at 3pm BST/ 10am EDT/ 7am PDT today.

The 1st clue for Location 2 has now gone live and it reads:
“Don’t come here. This is my private spot to sit on my throne and smell the ocean air. After I eat 6! square pies [minus the 1077 grams of burnt crust I scrape off], I can’t be late to go down the canyon road…or a bunch of rich a-holes will see my 21 miles of scenic beauty. So stay away. Say “Rick” to win the prize.”
Also in the feed there is a new timer, this time for Location 3, counting down to 3pm BST/ 10am EDT/ 7am PDT tomorrow.

Wow, that didn’t take long, did it.
Congratulations to Brandon Cruz who successfully deciphered the first Wormageddon clue that the location of the next statue was in Malibu.
As can be seen from the tweet and video above, this statue depicts our favourite “Rickest Rick” as he sits on his own throne reading a newspaper, completely unfazed by the worm rearing up behind him. Although, knowing Rick, there’s a 100% chance that he has a defence system built into the toilet to protect him from any threat because there’s no way he’s going to allow anyone to surprise him while he’s on the toilet.
With this reveal, we’re now two locations down with twelve more to go.

The first clue for Location 3 has now been revealed and this one seems like a clue from Jerry as it reads:
“Hallo! I wanted to tour the largest port in Europe but took a wrong turn at the source of the river of the same name. Now I’m just hanging around and around and around…I’m getting dizzy! Say “Jerry” to win the prize”
Now we wait and see if someone can find this location as quickly as Brandon Cruz found Rick’s location in Malibu.
The official site has already started the countdown clock for the first clue to Location 4 which should be revealed at 3pm BST/ 10am EDT/ 7am PDT tomorrow.
So be sure to check back here for that clue when it’s revealed as well as the real world location for Location 3 once it’s been found.

Location 3 of the Wormageddon invasion has now been officially revealed as the Netherlands by the official Rick and Morty website as shown in the video above where we can a see a statue of a terrified Jerry as he holds on for dear life to one of the sails of the Netherlands’ iconic windmills while a statue of one of the worms climbs the other side of the sail.
As the countdown clock for the first clue to Location 4 ticks away to 3pm BST/ 10am EDT/ 7am PDT today. Be sure to check back here for that clue when it’s revealed as well as for all the latest updates on Rick and Morty Season 6 and Wormageddon.

Wow! That did not take long at all.
Within two hours of the latest clue going live, the 4th Location of the Wormageddon worm invasion has been revealed as Mr Poopy Butthole’s apartment in Pittsburgh.
As we can see in the video above, the worm that Mr Poopy Butthole is up against is the largest one that we’ve seen since Wormageddon started.
Also, the next clue, in a deviation from the pattern up till now, will not be revealed tomorrow, but instead, judging by the official countdown clock is set to be revealed at 9pm BST/ 4pm EDT/ 1pm PDT on Friday 26th August.
And for anyone who is curious what todays clue was, here it is:
“Ooh wee! Come steel a glance of my new apartment, in a city that bridges the gap between industrial & modern. Towards the river, there’s a whole field of ketchup, and out of my back door I can hear caged birds singing. I’m on a corner west of Mexico, north of Ohio & south of Pennsylvania. The latest location of the Wormageddon invasion has now been revealed as being Atlanta with a statue showing one of the worms breaking through the concrete outside the State Farm Arena and destroying a car while a State Farm employee tries to alert the cars owner, Gene (seen in the Season 6 trailer mowing his lawn), who is being distracted by the alien app developer, Glootie (voiced in the fourth series episode “The Old Man and the Seat” by celebrity guest, Taika Waititi), who appears to have developed his own State Farm app.
As Atlanta is the 2nd of 5 locations that are revealed without clues, there was no golden Rick head for this location. But, the next location reveal, judging by the official countdown clock, is due to be revealed later today at 3pm BST/ 10am EDT/ 7am PDT. So be sure to check back here then for the clue to that location.

The next clue in the Wormageddon hunt is now live over at the official Rick and Morty website, and this particular clue relates to Tiny Rick and reads:
“I met one of these worms and I was like “Awe, bru we just gotta chill.” Head south to the cape, feel the sand between your toes and hang with the surfers on the corner. You don’t have to be a scientist to build a bathing box and catch some rainbow waaaaaaves. Say “Tiny Rick” to win the prize”.
And there you have it. Do you know where Tiny Rick and the worm are? And/or how long do you think it’ll take for someone to decipher the clue and find them?

Welcome everyone to a bumper update today for Wormageddon as I’m going to be discussing not 1, but 3, brand new Wormageddon location reveals that too place over the weekend.
Beginning with the reveal on 26/08 that Tiny Rick was in Cape Town, South Africa, enjoying a beautiful view and an ice cream cone while a space worm thought they could try and get the drop on him.
Henning Gawrisch is the lucky fan who got to the location and said “Tiny Rick” first, so they received the fourth of the nine Golden Rick statues.
Next, we have the 7th Location of Wormageddon which was teased on Saturday, 27/08, with the following clue:
“Figures all heck breaks loose just when I finally got the chance to visit our neighbours to the north. I thought I’d be safe underground, but it turns out that’s where worms live. I teach math, not biology! Find me before I’m as lost and unfound as this place! Say “Mr Goldenfold” to win the prize.”
Not long later, the location was revealed as being in Toronto, Canada, and featured a statue of Morty’s maths teacher, “Mr Goldenfold”, and deadly rebel fighter, Jaguar, as they battled another of the space worms:
The Golden Rick statue for this location was claimed by Michael Kieffer who can be seen in the below tweet striking their own pose alongside Mr Goldenfold:
The final location reveal of the weekend began with the following clue on 28/08/22:
“This is where I come to rehydrate after the carnal delights of Carnival. Secluded in the sands, rock hard, by my beautiful ocean.
But then precious waters were befouled by hideous creatures…Worms! Once again, I’ve cleaned up Richard’s mess. The people of the metropolis have no idea the dangers I’ve saved them from! I’m Mr Nimbus and I’m king of the world! Say “Mr Nimbus” to win the prize”.
However, in a first for the Wormageddon hunt, this 8th location, wasn’t found after the first clue, and so a second clue was revealed 3 hours after the first:
“I always slay…just ask these dead worms! Now that we’re alone, come meet me on this secluded rocky beach. It has the same name as one of my favorite actors.
Catch me if you can, and we can rolar na areia juntinhos! Say “Mr Nimbus” to win the prize”.
This second clue then lead to the location being revealed as Praia do Léo in Brazil and shows Mr Nimbus lounging on the beach admiring himself while a worm lies decapitated in the sand with Nimbus’ trident sticking out of it.
The Golden Rick statue for this location was claimed by Mariana Moreira and is the 6th statue received, leaving only 3 statues left to find:
And that’s it for this morning’s update. The countdown clock for the reveal of the 9th location is currently ticking away and should be revealed at 11pm BST/6pm EDT/3pm PDT today.
30/08/2022:
The latest Wormageddon incursion location has been revealed as Sydney, Australia, and as we can see above, this location sees Rick’s war buddies Squanchy, and Birdperson, fighting back a worm in view of the iconic Sydney Opera House.
As this was the third of the five official reveals rather than a location with a clue, there was no Golden Rick head available for this location.
However, this wasn’t the only Wormageddon update from the Rick and Morty team, as the first Wormageddon location in Malibu, USA, had a very special visitor:
As Rick and Morty co-creator and voice of Rick, and Morty, Justin Roiland, visited the Rick statue in Malibu and posed for a selfie in addition to signing the statue as well.
Also, the official countdown clock is already ticking down to the next location reveal, and this one will come with a clue, and is due to be revealed later today at 3pm BST/ 10am EDT/ 7am PDT. So be sure to check back here then for the clue to that location.
30/08/2022:
The 1st clue for the tenth location in the Wormageddon hunt has been revealed and it appears that this clue is from everyone’s favourite animated US president, well he’s certainly mine, President Curtis/Mr President/The President (voiced by the legendary Keith David).
The clue reads:
“My fellow Americans, worms have invaded our second city. After securing our greatest national treasure, Oprah, Sanchez, and I have teamed up to blast the worms into oblivion. Thankfully our wonderful mech suits are powered by Green Hydrogen. Join us, to see your president shred the s*** out of a space worm. Say “Rick and The President” to win the prize”.
And that’s our clue for today, can’t wait to see the statue for this one once the location has been found. Also, if you read the clue and heard Keith David’s voice as The President as you did… I assure you, you’re not alone.
31/08/2022:
The 10th location has been officially confirmed as Chicago, USA, and here we see Rick in his own version of the Power Loader from Aliens along with The President in the armour suit Rick loaned him in “Rick & Morty’s Thanksploitation Spectacular” as they fight off the space worm attacking Chicago.
The Golden Rick head then for this location was won by Nick “Kiwi” Gadbaw who worked out and found the location and said “Rick and The President” first:
But this wasn’t all that was revealed with this location as a new animated Wormageddon short with an interesting tease has also been released as well:
What is the Green Hydrogen mentioned in this short?
In this short we see Rick and The President’s battle against the Space Worm, but, interestingly, on the back of Rick’s power loader armour we see a bumper sticker (with a great reference to another classic James Cameron movie with Kyle Reese’s iconic line from The Terminator) which says “SCAN THIS IF YOU WANT TO LIVE” with a QR code beside it.
Unfortunately though, this QR code can’t be scanned from the video, presumably, as it’s either too small or pixelated, but should work if you scan it from the back of the Rick statue in Chicago.
After this, the short then shows that The President has a bumper sticker on his armour as well that reads “EARTH MATTERS IN EVERY DIMENSION! WHATTHEGREENHYDROGEN.COM”.
We then see this URL at the end of the short as well, and I imagine it’s the URL that will appear when you scan the QR code on the Rick Statue.
Navigating to the whatthegreenhydrogen.com website reveals a site that is, a little surprisingly, completely serious and not at all parody or satire as we’d expect from a Rick and Morty affiliate website.
As the term Green Hydrogen refers to using Hydrogen as a clean and renewable energy source instead of relying on fossil fuels or even electricity as we do now. For, as the site explains (in much more detail than the brief explanation I’m about to give) that Green Hydrogen is when a body of water is electrified in order to provide energy.
The site then, over several pages, presents fascinating articles and explanations about this process, and presents the argument that Green Hydrogen is much more healthy for the planet and the human race than the current energy sources that we are currently using.
But the site is not just all education on Green Hydrogen as it also provides an in-depth look as well at the schematic for Rick’s power loader armour which we see Rick has called a “Mech Tech Loader”.
Also, should you want to learn more about Green Hydrogen, the site provides plenty of links that you can follow for more information from a variety of sources, as well as videos that you can watch on Green Hydrogen too.
Next Wormageddon location reveal?
Once again the countdown clock is counting down to the next location reveal clue which is due to be revealed later today at 2pm BST/ 9am EDT/ 6am PDT. So be sure to check back here then for the clue to that location.
31/08/2022:
The 11th Wormageddon location has now been revealed as being London, UK, and shows the space worm breaking out of the ground outside the Emirates Stadium, the home ground of Arsenal Football Club, as Morty and a group of Mr Meseeks desperately try to survive against it as many of them are held in the worm’s grasp:
This 11th location is also the 4th of the 5 locations that will be revealed without clues by rickandmorty.com.
The countdown clock is now ticking down again to the next location reveal or clue, but interestingly, this one appears to be counting down to 2am BST/ 9pm EDT/ 6pm PDT. 01/09/2022:
The 12th Wormageddon location was teased earlier this morning with the following clue from The Vindicators’ crew member Noob Noob:
“Recruiting new Vindicators, got damn! I was looking for Pacquiao but found Pac-Man instead. Then these worms showed up, so I’m hiding in a mega sized mall in one of the oldest business districts in the metro. Some hero I am. Say “Noob Noob” to win the prize”.
The location, unsurprisingly to be honest given how transparent the clues were, has been found and revealed as being in Manila, Phillipines:
As shown in the reveal video above we can a statue of Noob Noob as he’s trapped in a claw machine arcade cabinet with dozens of plush space worms behind him. And with this reveal, the 8th and penultimate Golden Rick head has now been found:
Furthermore with this latest location reveal, we only have two locations left of Wormageddon, one official location reveal and one with a clue leading to the final Golden Rick head.
So, taking a guess, I expect that the next location will be the official reveal without a clue, and then the final location will be teased with a clue that leads to the final Golden Rick head before Season 6’s premiere this Sunday.

The Wormageddon countdown clock has now unlocked Location 13 and revealed contrary to my prediction earlier today, that it is in fact the last location with a clue, and so the last location with a Golden Rick head to be won:
The first clue reads:
“Cázame! Cázame! Just like this worm that chased me all the way to Europe. Gonna see if I can get it to carry me to the top of this big stone house and toss-a me in the sea! Say “Mr Always Wants to be Hunted” to win the prize”.

As revealed in the latest Wormageddon video below, Location 13 has now been found and revealed as being Tossa De Mar, Catalonia:
In the video above we see Mr Always Wants To Be Hunted walking along the railing outside the iconic and historic Murallas de Tossa de Mar as a giant space worm crawls up behind him from the beach below.
In addition, the 9th and final Golden Rick Head has been claimed by Javier Herranz, who, as the official tweet shows, “found the castle, said the name, and walked away with gold”:
With only one location left to be revealed, the final countdown clock is ticking down to its reveal later today at 7.30pm BST/ 2.30pm EDT/ 11.30am PDT.

And now, the last Wormageddon location has been revealed, and it’s Las Vegas, USA:
As we can see in the video above, it appears to be Ladies Day in Vegas. As we see Summer taking a selfie on what appears to be a Samsung Galaxy Flip phone, while Space Beth using Rick’s Mech Tech Loader, and Planetina battle back the final Space Worm invasion.

How many episodes will there be in Rick and Morty season 6?
There are 10 episodes in total in Season 6, with the first 6 episodes airing from the 4th September 2022 to 9th October 2022. The series then took a 6 week break and its remaining 4 episodes will air from 20th November 2022 to 11th December 2022.
Rick and Morty season 6 episode 7 release date?
Now that its 6 week break is over, Rick and Morty Season 6 Episode 7 will air on 20th November 2022.
Will there be a 7th season of Rick and Morty?
Yes, it’s already been confirmed by Rick and Morty co-creator Dan Harmon at the 2021 San Diego Comic Con that they were working on a 7th season of the series.
