The PlayStation Plus February Essential games are available to grab right now and they include the day-one multiplayer launch title, Foamstars. While the Essential offerings are great, the reveal date for the PS Plus February 2024 Extra and Premium games is right around the corner with leaks possibly pointing to a PS1 horror classic.
PlayStation gamers are in for numerous treats this month. PS5 gamers can now download the Final Fantasy VII Rebirth demo from the PSN store, and the release time for Skull and Bones early access is imminent. Not to mention there is also the release date and time for Tomb Raider 1-3 Remastered quickly approaching.
Helldivers 2, Tomb Raider 1-3 Remastered, Skull and Bones, and Final Fantasy VII Rebirth are all massive releases coming out this month, and here’s hoping the PS Plus February 2024 Extra and Premium additions are anywhere near as good. Sony has provided great giveaways for the Essential tier, so fingers crossed more great games are on the way.
PS Plus Extra and Premium February 2024 games reveal date
The reveal date for the PS Plus Extra and Premium February 2024 games is February 14th. Sony usually reveals the Extra and Premium games on a Wednesday one week after the release of the Essentials. The February 2024 Essentials were given away on February 6th, hence the expectation that Sony will pull the curtain aside next Wednesday.
After the games have been announced, they typically come out the Tuesday after. So, if announced on February 14th as expected, you should be able to begin playing from the 20th. In regard to the March 2024 Essentials, they are expected to be identified on February 28th.
To avoid missing out, make sure to claim the PS Plus February 2024 Essentials before the expiry date, March 4th. You definitely don’t want to miss out on the newly released Foamstars, as well as Rollerdrome and Steelrising. If you miss out on claiming Foamstars before March, you will have to buy it from the PSN store.
Possible PS Plus Extra and Premium February 2024 leaks
A possible PS Plus Premium classic leak is Alone In The Dark The New Nightmare. This is a PS1 game that was accidentally included by PlayStation UK and PlayStation Access when revealing the Extra and Premium additions for January. Both accounts quickly removed their original posts to no longer include Alone In The Dark, but its inclusion means it’s possible it could be joining Premium at a later date.
It could possibly join in February or it could be added sometime later in the year. Joining this month would be perfect as the Alone In The Dark remake is pegged for March following delays. It would also be a fine addition as survival horror games are some of the best titles belonging to the PS1, and there’s really nowhere near enough of them part of PlayStation’s most expensive tier.

In addition to all of the above this month, Reddit has compiled a list of games that could possibly leave in March. None of these are official, but they are as follows:
- Ghostwire Tokyo
- Tchia
- Street Fighter V Champion Edition
- Untitled Goose Game
- Haven
- 13 Sentinels Aegis Rim
Again, none of the above are officially leaving in March as of writing, but they’re predictions based on the fact they were first added in March 2023. In other PlayStation news, rumors heavily suggest major Xbox console exclusives could be joining PS5. Sony’s first PlayStation PC launch exclusive has also surpassed Palworld on Steam.
