Square Enix has released a new update for their Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth demo. Per the official finalfantasyvii Twitter account, this downloadable update improves the graphics by upgrading visual fidelity in performance mode.
Not only does the update improve the visuals, but it also adds new content. In addition to the playable section that already exists, the update adds more content ‘in an open area near Junon’. This is said to include ‘content unique to the demo,’ so it’s definitely worth downloading even if you already know you’re going to buy the game next week.
How to download Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth demo
You can download the FF7 Rebirth demo from the PSN store entirely for free. All you need to do is follow the below steps:
- Open PSN store on your PS5
- Search Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth
- Click the game
- Select the three dots next to ‘play game’
- Click ‘view product’
- Select the three dots next to ‘wishlist’
- Click ‘demo’
- The choose to download
If you already have the demo installed on your PS5 console, the update should automatically begin downloading as soon as your turn console on. If the update hasn’t happened, simply scroll to FF7 Rebirth on your PS5 home screen, select Options on your DualSense controller, and choose ‘check for update’.
