Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is easily one of the best games of the year. It’s an even bigger and better follow-up to Insomniac’s first two amazing entries, and it stars both Peter Parker and Miles Morales. And, playing as Miles Morales, one Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 player has brilliantly recreated the best scene from the Into the Spider-Verse movie.
We gave Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 a 10/10 in our review because it’s an epic, emotional story compounded by brilliant gameplay and exhilarating open-world traversal. Developer Insomniac Games has already teased a Venom spin-off, and we’d be more than happy for the anti-hero villain to get his own game in the future. Not only that, but we’d also love to see Insomniac’s take on DareDevil as they continue to tease the blind lawyer of Hell’s Kitchen.
It’s a fantastic time to be a Spider-Man fan. The movies are better than ever with the Spider-Verse franchise, and the video games continue to get better, too. And, in the latest video game, it’s possible to bring the two masterpieces together.
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 fan recreates best Spider-Verse movie scene
A Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 player has recreated the iconic Leap of Faith scene from the Into the Spider-Verse movie. Although not a full one-to-one recreation of the movie clip, the resemblance and inspiration are obvious and incredible. The editing is really slick, and the web-slinging looks as though it was ripped straight out of the movie.
The edit was created and shared by YouTuber Much118. The comments are full of praise with users saying ‘It gave me chills’ and ‘gave me goosebumps’. Lots of comments praise it as a ‘fantastic job’ and ‘beyond nuts,’ with praise also given to the amazing game Insomniac has delivered. You can check out the ‘insanely good’ video down below:
To recreate the scene, the user unlocked the Spider-Verse movie suit for Miles Morales. There are other Spider-Verse suits in the game such as Spider-Man Noir for Peter Parker. These unlocked outfits come with a visual effect that makes them resemble the animation style of the films. The animation style is admittedly difficult to adjust to at first for web-slinging and combat, but there’s no denying the costumes look spectacular.
