It’s been a stellar year of video game releases so far. We were treated to some special games in 2023 such as Hogwarts Legacy, Baldur’s Gate 3, Alan Wake 2, and Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, and the momentum of epic games hasn’t slowed down in 2024. And, if you thought February was bad for your wallet, be prepared for all the massive video game releases set for March 2024.

Before next month arrives, we still have the release date for Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth. It is one of the highest-rated PS5 console exclusives on Metacritic with an overall score of 92, and you can preload ahead of launch very soon so you can step into the heavy merc boots of Cloud once again the very second the game unlocks.

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth will be the culmination to what has been an excellent February. While Suicide Squad has disappointed alongside the quality of Skull and Bones, Persona 3 Reload and Helldivers 2 have been excellent, and Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth is an early game-of-the-year contender. And March 2024 is set to provide even more incredible video game releases.

March 2024 video game releases

Below is a list of the biggest March 2024 video game releases with their respective launch dates and platforms:

  • The Outlast Trials – (PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Series X/S) – March 5th
  • WWE 2K24 – (PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Series X/S) – Early access March 5th, full release March 8th
  • Unicorn Overlord – (PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Series X/S, Switch) – March 8th
  • Star Wars Battlefront Classic – Collection (PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Series X/S, Switch) – March 14th
  • Hi-Fi Rush – (PS5) – March 19th
  • Lightyear Frontier early access – (PC, Xbox Series X/S) – March 19th
  • Alone in the Dark remake – (PC, PS5, Xbox Series X/S) – March 20th
  • Dragon’s Dogma 2 – (PC, PS5, Xbox Series X/S) – March 22nd
  • Princess Peach Showtime! – (Switch) – March 22nd
  • Rise of the Ronin – (PS5) – March 22nd
  • South Park Snow Day! – (PC, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Switch) – March 26th

Above is not all of the video game releases for March 2024, but rather what we consider to the biggest titles coming out next month. And it’s still a list comprising of over ten games.

Looking at all of the above, Dragon’s Dogma 2 is arguably the biggest and most anticipated. It’s a sequel to Capcom’s RPG epic that came out in 2013, and it promises even more amazing boss battles against gargantuan fantasy foes that you can climb similar to the Shadow of the Colossus.

Away from Dragon’s Dogma 2 though, all of the other games are massively anticipated. The Outlast Trials is a fun multiplayer nightmare fully leaving early access, and WWE 2K24 looks set to be another significant installment in what has been an excellent series since 2K22.

Unicorn Overlord looks set to be another great RPG from Vanillaware, and you can download a playable demo right now. Then after that is a throwback to the glory days of Star Wars Battlefront with the classic collection from Aspyr. We absolutely cannot wait to return to the good Star Wars Battlefront 2 to participate in pure multiplayer chaos with no microtrasnactions.

The Alone In The Dark remake looks great with the star-studded cast of actors David Harbor and Jodie Comer, and Rise of the Ronin could be one of the best PS5 exclusives as an open-world samurai game from Team Ninja. Lastly, South Park Snow Day doesn’t look as good as RPGs The Stick Of Truth and Fracture But Whole, but it’s impossible to say no to more South Park.

In addition to all of the above video game releases, there will be the PS Plus March 2024 offerings along with the Xbox Game Pass March 2024 selection. And next month isn’t the end of incredible upcoming titles as the upcoming video game releases for 2024 include more highly-anticipated games such as Stellar Blade, S.T.A.L.K.E.R 2, and Star Wars Outlaws.
