David Harbour – Edward Carnby

A returning series regular, Edward Carnby is called upon to investigate the mysterious disappearance of Emily Hartwood’s uncle from the storied Derceto Manor. In 2023’s Alone the Dark, Edward Carnby is played by David Harbour of Stranger Things, Quantum of Solace, Suicide Squad, and Hellboy fame. Edward Carnby plays into the gruff detective trope, hard boiled but with a sharp humour to him, which promises to offer some welcome pacing to the game’s more sinister undertones.

Jodie Comer – Emily Hartwood

Niece of the missing Jeremy Hartwood, Emily Hartwood is afflicted by the famed Hartwood Curse. Curious yet fearful in equal measure, she promises a more nuanced take on the mansion’s mysteries. Jodie Comer lends her voice and likeness to the character to bolster the Alone in the Dark cast list and voice actors. The English actress is best known for her work on films like Free Guy and The Last Duel, while also showcasing her acting chops in TV shows like Thirteen, Killing Eve, and Doctor Foster.
