A developer at EA Dice has mocked up a UI for a dream Mandalorian game, getting fans hyped about how good a game based on the Star Wars TV series could be.

The hypothetical game is called Star Wars The Mandalorian Way of the Warrior, and has everyone’s favourite Grogu ward in what seems to be a third person action adventure not too dissimilar to the recent Star Wars Jedi Survivor. Gavin Marshall, AKA GavMakesGames on Twitter, has included mock-ups of an in-game screen, a badass title screen with Mando himself and an in-game shot giving us an idea what it’d be like entering a new location, as well as a shot of that oh-so vital addition in any game that’d look this good: a photo mode. He’s even created a mockup of what the title screen would look like in action.

One of the major reasons that Gavin Marshall’s concept looks so good is that his day job is as a professional UI designer at EA DICE, who were of course responsible for the recent Star Wars Battlefront as well as the Battlefield games. However, he’s created these screens entirely solo in his own time, using tools like Photoshop, Blender and After Effects.

After posting the mock-up to Twitter, fans are going wild over the impressive work, with many posting sentiments like Jakejames Lugo’s “I’d be so down to play something like this if it was real.” and calls to “take my money” from plenty of others. KeII_beII even goes so far as to say “I would buy a console for this game if it was exclusive.” which is high praise indeed – and we’d be inclined to agree. It’s incredibly impressive and given calls for a Mandolorian game have been a thing since the series started, it feels like something Lucasfilm Games should be looking into.

In the meantime however, there’s plenty of other Star Wars games on the way and already with us such as the recent release of Star Wars Jedi Survivor, with a sequel to that game almost certainly under way if recent job adverts at EA Respawn are anything to go by. We’re also expecting Star Wars Outlaws from Ubisoft next year, and Star Wars Eclipse from Quantic Dream is also in development.
