Following a disastrous major order failure that saw Helldivers 2 players lose Vernen Wells in catastrophic fashion, a new missive has come in from Super Earth High Command. This time, soldiers are tasked with liberating an Automaton Petafactory on Varylia 5 to convert it into an EXO-49 Emancipator Exosuit factory. Yes, another mech suit stratagem is on its way to gracing the never-ending fight for Managed Democracy, as long as players can successfully complete the current MO.
Now, since this is a liberation-centric major order, the community will likely be able to finish it in record time, much like how players eliminated two billion Terminids in a day and a half. With this in mind, it should only be a matter of time until you can wreak democratic havoc with two mech suit stratagems. Unfortunately, some fans remain unconvinced of the upcoming stratagem’s potential since the current mech suit is, well, barely useable.
When used in the right scenarios, the EXO-45 Patriot Exosuit is a walking tank of mass destruction. Its rapid-firing minigun and high-powered missiles easily eliminate enemy hordes and bug nests. It can even put up a fight against Annihilator Tanks (though we wouldn’t recommend going up against one solo). However, once you start reaching higher difficulties (7, 8, and 9), it becomes useless against the enemy’s high damage and armor.
Plus, its relatively long cooldown time (600 seconds) compared to its field durability makes it unideal compared to other more practical stratagems. Of course, since we’ve yet to actually see what the new mech exosuit is capable of, we should reserve judgment until after Helldivers have completed the current major order.
