Goldeneye 007, the 1997 first-person shooter based on the James Bond film of the same name, has finally been announced for multiple consoles after months of speculation.

Is Goldeneye 007 on Xbox Game Pass?
Yes, Goldeneye 007 will be available for all Xbox Game Pass subscribers on January 27, 2023. PC and Ultimate Game Pass users will similarly be able to enjoy the revamped title developed by Rare.

Nintendo players predictably can also play the modernized version of Goldeneye 007 on the same date. However, they will need to be subscribed to the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack service in order to access the N64 Classic Catalog.
According to an official announcement from Microsoft, the upcoming spy shooter has been fully enhanced as it now includes “new achievements, 4K resolution, a smoother framerate, and four-player split-screen.”
However, online multiplayer is not supported on Xbox – with local multiplayer your only option. Switch players will be able to play online multiplayer – but only with people on their friends list via the Nintendo Switch Online N64 app, and not traditional matchmaking.
The much-anticipated remaster was initially supposed to be released much earlier as leaks had initially been reported as early as February 2021. However, the development process was heavily delayed to the unfortunate war that occurred in Ukraine.
According to additional details from the Xbox announcement, Game Pass subscribers will also be able to enjoy additional classic titles such as Roboquest and Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition.
