Pokemon Scarlet and Violet is the ninth generation in Nintendo’s historical franchise. Much like each version before it, these latest titles bring forth a number of new creatures that trainers can acquire.

Specifically, the Pokemon players often look forward to the most are the three starters which they can choose from at the beginning of the game. However, choosing just one from Quaxly, Fuecoco, and Sprigatito can often be a difficult task because that would mean leaving two of them off your team.

Because of this, players often want to obtain these three Pokemon for their team. But the question is can you get all the starters in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet? Read on to find out.

How to get all starters in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet?

You can only get all of the starters in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet by trading with other players. Unfortunately, this is currently the only way to acquire them as they can’t be caught in the wild.

Before you trade away your starter Pokemon, however, make sure you keep some in your storage by breeding them through the Pokemon Picnic. Keep in mind, though, that the type of Pokemon that you get from the egg will be the same as the female that was originally included. If you don’t have a female starter, you can still breed them with a Ditto until you acquire the species and gender that you want.

Once you’ve hatched additional starters, you can then freely trade it locally with your friends. You will also be able to trade it online by engaging with the game’s communities on either Reddit or Discord.
