New leaks for Helldivers 2 have revealed weapon modifications that were actually part of the game’s opening cutscene, but what fans really want to see is the addition of more and better melee weapons. Fortunately, it appears better melee weapons could be on the way judging by the leak of a Warhammer weapon. Just like Warhammer 40K Space Marine 2, it would be amazing if Helldivers 2 added brutal melee finishers as seen in a stunning gameplay demonstration.
Helldivers 2 video shows brutal finishers
On the official Helldivers subreddit, OP John_Helldiver117 has shared a video showcasing a Super Earth solider performing a myriad of sick finishers on bugs. These finishers include stomping on its head, punching the beast as it strikes, stabbing it with a knife, and, best of all, ripping off its own leg and piercing its skull.
These gameplay concepts are absolutely amazing. They’re not quite as brutal as Warhammer 40K Space Marine 2 as there’s no tsunami of green blood, but they’re still wicked nonetheless.
It would be amazing if such finishers were added to Helldivers 2, but, alas, it’s not going to happen. Finishers would be a fantastic addition to help helldivers in the battlefield, but maybe it’s something that can become reality in the inevitable HD3 instead.
These stunning finishers come courtesy of YouTuber, EPG-6. While the idea of squishing bugs is more feasible than bots, another demonstration of melee finishers show that bots wouldn’t be safe either from some sublime weapon handling and pinpoint accurate shooting.
The YouTuber has also created some emotes that would be awesome additions, and there’s a whole lot more great content on their channel to check out.
