The brand new Premium Warbond titled Democratic Detonation was recently released in Helldivers 2, bringing three new weapons and three new armor sets to the game. These weapons are the BR-14 Adjudicator, CB-9 Exploding Crossbow, and R-36 Eruptor, as well as the GP-31 Grenade Pistol, Expert Extraction Pilot Booster, and G-123 Thermite. So far, players have been underwhelmed with some of these, but it is still early days and, as seen in the past, the weapons could unexpectedly become part of the meta if a player finds a game-changing use for them, such as them being able to easily take out a strong enemy.

U/Opposite_Cellist7579 took to Reddit to say that players shouldn’t immediately label a weapon as being bad within hours of it being released saying “Stop calling for buffs and nerfs 3 hours after an update. Give it time. Most people have not tested the guns against both factions and all the enemies. In a week the whole conversation always changes.” This is due to players not having enough now to get to grips with it and test it out against both the Automatons and Terminids.

While some weapons such as the Quasar Cannon became an immediate hit with players, some weapons never got their dues when first released. The Railgun used to be the “meta” weapon and most players refused to carry anything else. But, once the Railgun was nerfed, players soon discovered that weapons such as the Autocannon, EAT, and Recoilless Rifle had many applications that were previously undiscovered. Although the new weapons found in the Democratic Detonation Premium Warbond seem underwhelming, it is possible that someone could stumble across a use case that could become part of the future meta.

As Helldivers 2 continues to receive new updates and Premium Warbonds, the loot pool is growing larger. This means that the meta is continuously changing and players need to keep up if they want to successfully defeat the Automatons and Terminids.
