Following a triumphant major order victory, Helldivers 2 players are enjoying the fruits of their labor in the form of a new mech exosuit. But that doesn’t mean another improvement to the game’s walking war machines wouldn’t be welcome. In fact, some fans have shared their stratagem wishlists on social media, with one of the top requests being a much-needed upgrade to in-game exosuit management.
Now, if you’ve been taking a break from the Galactic War, you may not be aware that the latest MO completion granted players access to the Emancipator Exosuit. Equipped with dual autocannons and a crushing stomp attack, this new stratagem gives players a much-needed alternative to the oft-criticized Patriot Exosuit. Unfortunately, its addition hasn’t addressed any of the exosuit stratagem’s main issues, like its frustratingly long cooldown and flimsiness at higher difficulties.
For this reason, some players have taken it upon themselves to bring these problems to the attention of Arrowhead Game Studios since exosuits continue to be one of the game’s most underwhelming stratagems. One solution that players hope the developers introduce is an exosuit rearm feature. According to u/CalypsoThePython’s Reddit post, this potential stratagem would replace a depleted mech with a new one, giving players more time to wreak havoc with the hulking bot.
Although this wouldn’t entirely fix the exosuit’s durability issues, it would at least make exosuit loadouts more viable since two uses can essentially counteract its 600-second cooldown. Of course, this improvement remains a pipe dream for the player base since Johan Pilestedt, AGS’s new CCO, is focusing most of the team’s attention on weapon rebalancing.
That said, AGS has often valued community output when it comes to improving Helldivers 2, so it wouldn’t be a surprise if an exosuit rearm stratagem is added in the future.
