Helldivers 2 fans have another patch to look forward to in the near future. Arrowhead has teased its arrival with some of the changes, and these improvements include more buffs. While extra buffs will be appreciated, fans are also hopeful the next patch will fix a Helldivers 2 mission type that Arrowhead has confirmed is bugged.
The release date for the next Helldivers 2 update is October 15th, and some of the previously teased buffs include the jump pack and purifier. In addition to this imminent patch, we also have Liberty Day set for October 26th. This is a special celebration for which armor has leaked, and it should be a big day for the community.
Helldivers 2 Eradicate missions are bugged
On the Helldivers Discord, there has been complaints about Eradicate missions. These aren’t very popular to begin with, but they are even so less so right now.
Fans on the Discord have been complaining about failing Eradicate missions due to running out of time. This is something that has also been echoed recently on the game’s subreddit with numerous posts.
It’s especially bad when playing solo, but, regardless of your set up, the community has largely reported that not enough enemies are spawning. This results in time running out as players are unable to eradicate 100% of forces before the timer concludes.
Fans have had suspicions that the spawn rate is bugged, and, fortunately, this has been confirmed. Today Arrowhead Support Agent, B Vitamin, responded, “Yes, that mission type is bugged”.
As for what the issue is, the Support Agent said, “Basically some part of the code for encounter spawning isn’t working properly, so it’s just not spawning as many enemies as it should”.
Unfortunately, there’s no elaboration on whether it’s being looked at or when it will be fixed. Presumably it is being investigated by Arrowhead, and here’s hoping the bug will be resolved in the patch arriving next week.
