Helldivers 2 is facing many issues currently, particularly surrounding weapon nerfs that have caused a lot of backlash from the community. However, there are many other problems such as ragdolling, which has become more prevalent with buffs to enemies such as the Chargers, which can fling you across the map, take a large amount of damage, and have no way to defend yourself against the hordes of enemies. With the developers committing to a 60-day roadmap, many are hoping that these issues will be addressed within the next couple of months. Thankfully, it seems that this will be the case which will be great news for players.

The Helldivers 2 Community Manager Twin Beard took to Discord to answer questions from the community. During the conversation, Twin Beard revealed that Arrowhead Game Studios is looking to change ragdolling in Helldivers 2, specifically nerfing it to prevent players from being incapacitated and vulnerable as often saying “Ragdolling is being nerfed in several instances.”
If you’ve never heard of the term, ragdolling is the state you go in when you fly through the air or roll across the ground and can’t control your character. This is usually done by being hit with a rocket by an Automaton or hit by a Terminid Charger. This is an incredibly frustrating mechanic that often results in the player being killed with no way to defend themselves. It is great news to hear that this is finally going to be addressed. While it won’t be removed from the game, it shouldn’t be as prevalent and Helldivers 2 players should be happy about it.
Although this is good news, there are still plenty of issues that urgently need addressing in Helldivers 2, including the many weapons that were nerfed in both the Escalation of Freedom update and for months prior. This has seen most weapons be made incredibly weak, which in turn makes taking down heavier enemies much more difficult. One of the most controversial changes was a nerf to the Breaker Incendiary Shotgun, which will nerfed due to it being too popular, according to the Arrowhead CEO.
