Rockstar Games parent company, Take-Two Interactive, has confirmed that GTA 6 will be playable on current-gen consoles at launch, including the PlayStation 5 and the Xbox Series X|S. Unfortunately, their statement made no mention of the game’s compatibility with Windows systems, so we wouldn’t blame you for asking: Will GTA 6 be on PC?

With the GTA 6 trailer release date taking place earlier than expected, the community now has some idea of what they can expect with the sixth mainline installment. However, if you’re still having trouble figuring out whether you can play the game on PC, we’ve covered all you need to know below.

Is GTA 6 on PC?

Unfortunately, no. Take-Two Interactive’s announcement did not mention a GTA 6 PC port, making a Windows version unlikely at launch. Of course, with the GTA 6 release date still far off, its list of compatible gaming systems could change before then.

However, the holding company’s lengthy blog post already seems definitive after stating: “Rockstar Games, a publishing label of Take-Two Interactive Software, Inc., is proud to announce that Grand Theft Auto VI is coming to PlayStation 5 computer entertainment systems and Xbox Series X|S games and entertainment systems in 2025.”

In addition to revealing the platforms that the game will be available on, the lengthy joint announcement also included more details on GTA 6’s setting, stating: “Grand Theft Auto VI heads to the state of Leonida, home to the neon-soaked streets of Vice City and beyond in the biggest, most immersive evolution of the Grand Theft Auto series yet.” Of course, we will continue to update this page with the latest information, so stay tuned for more details on the game’s PC version.
