A new Fortnite season will likely bring an apocalyptic theme. At the moment, many players are enjoying the OG Season, while Epic Games is preparing everything for Chapter 5. The videogame is having millions of concurrent players and breaking some major records, which is impressive.

Despite achieving a lot of success in the current season, Epic is focused on working on developing new content. Interestingly, the Fortnite Chapter 5 map was already leaked, along with a couple of other interesting features.

At the moment, no one seems to know the theme of Fortnite Chapter 5 – Season 1. However, there is a possibility that it will have an apocalyptic theme.

A new Fortnite season will likely have an apocalypse

According to Ako, a popular Fortnite news page on X (formerly Twitter), Epic Games may release an apocalypse-themed season at some point. The player believes this could happen due to the most recent Fortnite survey, which featured a lot of apocalyptic skins.

In addition to this, Epic was also reportedly working on a crystal system for mutated creatures. It’s also important to note that Fortnite: Save the World, the PvE game mode, is based on apocalypse.

While this theme hasn’t been confirmed yet, there’s a good chance it will come out at some point in Fortnite Chapter 5, either in early December 2023 or sometime next year.

An apocalyptical theme was never done in Fortnite, although Epic Games has released a couple of similar themes. Chapter 1 – Season 6 was about darkness and corruption, while Chapter 2 – Season 6 had a primal theme. Having an apocalyptic season would be a fantastic idea, especially for the start of the new chapter.

Kado Thorne’s time machine will likely play a major role in the upcoming events. The current Fortnite season will end with the time machine attached to the rocket, which will be launched at the season-ending live event. Will the machine cause the apocalypse? We’ll have to wait and see.
