Many major Fortnite leaks have come out over the past few days. Despite the OG Season coming out on Friday, a lot of these leaks are about Fortnite Chapter 5. Considering that the new chapter of the videogame will likely begin in early December, this isn’t very surprising.

However, what is surprising is that the Fortnite Chapter 5 map was already leaked. Epic Games will once again release a new island that will look unique. On top of that, we expect the game developer to release new features and mechanics. According to a new Fortnite leak, a game-changing feature is already being developed.

Here’s everything you need to know about it.

Fortnite leak shows weapon mods in development

The new Fortnite leak comes from Hypex, one of the most reputable leakers. The data miner claims that Epic Games is still working on weapons mods, a feature that has been in development for a few years. The feature was first leaked in early 2021, but Epic hasn’t released it yet.

It appears that the feature wasn’t scrapped. Instead, the development team is still working on it, which means that it may arrive in Fortnite Chapter 5. According to the popular Fortnite leaker, here are some things that will arrive with the new feature:

  • New inventory menu to customize weapon attachments
  • Different rarities of attachments, from Common to Legendary
  • Attachment that improves accuracy
  • Attachment that reduces recoil
  • Optic (scope) attachment

Considering that the feature has been in development for a long time, we can expect it to come in Chapter 5. However, this hasn’t been confirmed by Epic Games, so we’ll have to wait for the new chapter to see if comes out.

The Fortnite OG season is scheduled to end on Saturday, December 2. This means that we’ll likely get a new chapter and new features on Sunday, after a new live event and an extended downtime.
