Football Manager 2023: How to Get a Work Permit

Identifying a brilliant player that matches all the requirements that you need for your team will certainly fill you with excitement. Unfortunately, however, you may get a report from your scouts saying that you may experience difficulty getting your player over the line due to work permit issues.

In this guide we will take at what think you will need to do, to earn work permits in Football Manager 2023.

FM23 Who Gets a Work Permit

In the game, some players are guaranteed to qualify for a work permit immediately after you sign them, in order to qualify they will need: 

• Players over 18 signed from Europe’s top five leagues
• Players who play international football regularly for countries ranked in the Top 50 of the world rankings

FM23 How to Get a Work Permit

However, if your player does not fall into any of the above categories, you may need to do some work before you can sign them.

• Sign players from prominent clubs: If a player is signed to a prominent club like Manchester United, the club has likely obtained a work permit for the player already.
• Loan the player out to a club to continue his development till he has matured enough to get a work permit.
• You may also apply for a work permit by yourself. However, such a permit will set you back about £20,000, although the application may not always be successful.

FM23: How to Find Players that Have Work Permits 

If work permits may be too stressful to apply for, you can streamline your filter to admit only players that can obtain work permits easily.

• In the player search screen, you click on New Search
•  Under New Search, go to Add condition.
• In the tray that drops under Add condition, you select Transfer.
• Then you go to Work permit chance, and select work permit likely.
• After this, you will get a list of players who can easily get a work permit.
