FC 24 – Odegaard in latest squad update as super strikers upgraded

Another squad update has been released for FC 24! These regular updates make sure that the game is as up-to-date and factually accurate as possible.

This includes adding real player faces and changes in a player’s contract, which will affect any FC 24 Career Mode you start with the latest updates. Of course, the thing that grabs all the headlines is any upgrades or downgrades players may have received.

FC 24 best player updates

First, let’s take a look at how the latest FC 24 squad update has impacted the top players in the game. Arsenal’s Martin Odeegard is the highest-rated player involved in the latest update, sporting an 87 OVR. However, it isn’t a very exciting change, with his contract extended from 2026, now with a 2028 contract expiry.

Barcelona’s wonderkid LB Alejandro Balde (OVR 81) has also extended his contract to 2028. This could make it harder to sign him in Career Mode! Exequiel Palacios (OVR 80) has also pledged his future to his current club Bayer Leverkusen, again to 2028.

Netherlands forward Memphis Depay (OVR 84) must have been put on a medieval stretching rack! His height increased by an inch to 5’10”! Other cosmetic changes include Isco (OVR 80) and Oleksandr Zinchenko (OVR 80) receiving real face updates.

Leverkusen pair Grimaldo (OVR 84) and Jonas Hofmann (OVR 83) need to work on their cardio. Both have seen their stamina drop from 90 to 88 and 89, respectively. Arnau Martinez (OVR 80) has had his potential reduced from 87 to 86, but will still be one of the best young RBs to sign in FC 24.

Age is catching up with Galatasaray keeper Fernando Muslera (OVR 80). He has seen a huge slash in his acceleration from 50 to 30. Downgrades have also come to his sprint speed, agility, jumping, and vision.

FC 24 latest upgrade updates

The most notable upgrades in the FC 24 squad update come from a couple of red-hot Bundesliga strikers. Suttgart’s new signing Serhou Guirassy has hit the ground running at the German club. He has only failed to find the net in one match this season, scoring in his first six in all competitions.

11 goals and two assists in seven appearances is some going! It is no surprise to see his rating given +2, now at 79 OVR. This included a +5 upgrade to his finishing.

The EA FC 24 Bundesliga POTM August winner also gained an upgrade. You can unlock the Victor Boniface POTM SBC in FC 24 Ultimate Team, with that achievement also reflected in the squad update.

Another new arrival, his goals have helped Leverkusen to the top of the table! Eight goals and three assists in eight is again a very impressive hit rate.

The Nigerian gained a +2 to his rating too, sitting on 76 OVR. He also saw his potential increase by +3 to 84 OVR! Finishing, reactions, dribbling, and positioning were other notable attributes given a boost.
