Fortnite players have been seeing their V-Bucks stocks shoot up recently! Yet another refund has been issued by Epic Games, with some gaining thousands in compensation.

Of course, more V-Bucks means you can start looking around for new items in the shop. Chapter 5 Season 2 introduced a Greek mythology theme. Olympian boss characters are just some of the skins you can gain from the Battle Pass. Aside from those, there are plenty of other cosmetics you can attain for Battle Royale, LEGO Fortnite, Rocket Racing, and Fortnite Festival.

Festival Financing Fiasco

When you see others are gaining thousands of V-Bucks out of nowhere on their Fortnite accounts, you will of course be intrigued to see if you will be getting the same treatment. The latest handout from Epic Games comes hot on the heels of the 950 V-Bucks refund, which still hasn’t been explained. A couple of weeks before that there was also a 400 V-Bucks refund and massive amounts of XP issued!

Unlike the unexplained refund that has left Fortnite players in shock, the latest V-Bucks issuing has already been addressed by Epic Games. The following statement was released in a post on the official Epic Games Help page:

We’ve reduced the prices of Rare, Icon and Epic Rarity instruments in Fortnite Festival. If you made a purchase at the old prices you will receive a refund in V-Bucks

  • Rare and Icon are being reduced from 1,000 to 800 V-Bucks
  • Epic are being reduced from 1,500 to 1,000 V-Bucks

So, if you decided to splash out on instruments for Fortnite Festival, you will be seeing some compensation coming your way! The amount you get will depend on the amount of V-Bucks spent and what rarity items were purchased.
