Fortnite Season 2 release date for the US

The United States has several time zones, but four of them have the majority of the population. Considering that this country has many Fortnite players and that Epic Games’ headquarters is located there, the development team always aims to release new seasons early in the morning. This is done to avoid updating at peak hours.

The current season will end at 3 AM Eastern Time, meaning that the release date and time of Chapter 5 Season 2 is the following:

  • Pacific Time: March 8, midnight
  • Mountain Time: March 8, 1 AM
  • Central Time: March 8, 2 AM
  • Eastern Time: March 8, 3 AM

Longer downtime

Since this is a big update, we expect server downtime to last for at least two or three hours. Due to this, you should put your gaming system in a standby mode and have it automatically download the update.

It’s important to note that these times may change. However, considering that the current Fortnite season will not have a live event, this is unlikely. Furthermore, we have to clarify that the Chapter 5 Season 2 update will come out around this time. Since this will be one of the biggest updates of all time, there will be Fortnite server downtime that will last for a few hours.

Release date of the new Fortnite season in the UK

Fortnite players from the United Kingdom will get Chapter 5 Season 2 in the early morning. According to the current schedule, the next Fortnite season will come out on March 8 at 8 AM in the United Kingdom.
