Disney & Marvel have announced that they’re to hold a joint games showcase on September 9.

The broadcast will emanate from the D23 Expo 2022 at around 9pm UK time, and feature “new content” from games from Marvel, Disney & Pixar, Lucasfilm Games and 20th Century Games.

We’ve already been given an idea of some of the games that’ll be at the event. These include the recently-delayed Marvel’s Midnight Suns, Disney Dreamlight Valley and Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga.

Perhaps most excitingly, however, is a promised sneak peek at the upcoming “Marvel ensemble game” from Skydance Media during the showcase.

If you need a refresher, that’s the brand new game from the studio headed up by former Uncharted director Amy Hennig. The studio announced it was working on a Marvel project in October of last year.

We’ve not heard much about the project since as the team have had their heads down. At the time, Hennig teased the game as a “narrative-driven, blockbuster action-adventure game” with an entirely original story.

There’s also a brief trailer below, which clues us into some other appearances. A Xenomorph lets us know there’ll be an Alien game, likely Aliens: Dark Descent. There’s also a brief clip of the Na’vi, likely from Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora.

We don’t have to wait too long to find out. The Disney & Marvel Games Showcase takes place on September 9 at 9pm UK time. It will be broadcast across both Marvel and Disney’s social channels including YouTube and Twitch.
