Gameloft has announced that its Disney themed life sim Disney Dreamlight Valley will launch in early access this September.

Originally revealed back in April, the game will see players living in the titular valley. The once idyllic village has lost its magic thanks to an event known as ‘The Forgetting’, and it’s up to you to restore it to its former glory. Along the way, you’ll meet a whole host of classic characters and series from both Disney and Pixar.

Along the way, you’ll be cooking with Remy, gardening with Wall-E and fishing with Goofy. All the while, you’ll be trying to free the Dream Castle from the thorns surrounding it, and unlocking new realms with new challenges as you go. Doing so will net you rewards themed around those series, letting you create your own Disney home-away-from-home.

The game got its first gameplay showcase during the recent Nintendo Direct, which you can see below. To get in on the Disney Dreamlight Valley Early Access, you’ll have to buy a Founder’s Pass when it arrives on September 6, 2022. Alternatively, you’ll be able to pick up said Founders Pass as part of your Xbox Game Pass subscription on the Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One.

Disney Dreamlight Valley will then launch proper in free-to-play form at some point in 2023. It’ll be on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and PC.
