Diablo 4 recently introduced an update that finally enabled players to acquire Unique items from Helltide chests. However, it seems some players weren’t exactly pleased upon learning of this change as it meant that participating in Helltide events before the latest patch was essentially meaningless as no amount of grinding would have given you the endgame equipment that you’d been looking for.
Of course, the recent wave of Uber Unique drops due to a bug slightly remedied this issue earlier on as many players were finally able to get their hands on the ultimate post-game gear that enabled them to optimize their Diablo 4 Barbarian builds and Diablo 4 Rogue builds. Now that this exploit has been fixed by the developers, however, fans are once again lamenting the fact that they wasted their time galloping through the blood-soaked fields of Helltides.
Over on Reddit, a particularly disgruntled user named No_Holiday5822 created a post telling others within the community not to be upset about the ‘Shako’ bug being removed. Instead, they say that players should be “upset that Helltide chests weren’t dropping Uniques.” “I’ve been grinding Helltides for two weeks target farming gloves with absolutely ZERO unique drops,” they continued.
No_Holiday5822 would go on to say that this makes them “especially salty since the dev team specifically mentioned Helltides and Nightmare Dungeons as endgame content to farm the [best-in-slot] gear.” Naturally, most of the fans reacting to the thread shared a similar viewpoint as one commenter also mentioned the fact that the Tree of Whispers also doesn’t drop Unique items, which makes gathering Whispers at higher levels practically useless.
Luckily, with the latest patch now having taken effect, you should finally be able to get some of the best in-game equipment by continuously running through the demon-filled plains of the Helltide event. But if you were planning on grinding out some of the Uber Unique’s, then you will have to remain patient for the time being as the developers have temporarily disabled these drops in order to address the aforementioned glitch.
