AMD Radeon’s RDNA 3 release date will complete the final major release of the team red, green, and blue triumvirate. September saw the release of AM5 Ryzen CPUs, whilst October brought RTX 4090s and Intel 13th Gen CPUs to the table.

RDNA 3 heralds the next range of RX 7000 series GPUs, boasting a 54% performance increase ahead of RDNA 2. Quickly gaining a reputation for both energy efficiency and power, the RDNA 3 cards will be kinder to your energy bill than running its main opposition, the RTX 4080, and you can read our RX 7900 XTX vs RX 7900 XT piece here for a comprehensive comparison between the two.

In this article we’ll break down the release date and dive into the newly released specs, including discussions on raytracing, clock speeds and Hypr-RX.

AMD RDNA 3 price

The RTX 4090 release showed us that the silicon and semi-conductor shortage is still exhibiting knock on effects on GPU manufacturing. The good news for AMD RDNA 3’s release is that they are retailing for below $1000. In other words, AMD may have chosen not to challenge NVIDIA’s 4090 graphics card on performance, but price and value. ouch.

Here’s a breakdown of the current prices for AMD RDNA’s graphics cards.

  • RX 7900 XT: $899
  • RX 7900 XTX: $999

RX 7800 XT & RX 7700 XT release date predictions

Now that the flagship RX 7900 XT and 7900 XTX has been announced, we can expect RX 7800 XT and RX 7700 XT to be available from early 2023.

Unfortunately, there are far fewer rumoured specs and leaks currently available on the RX 7800 XT and 7700 XT.

What cards will be released in December?

The RX 7900 XT and RX 7900 XTX. If things continue as they have in previous years, we can expect RX 7900 XT and 7700 XT to hit retailers early 2023.

Will they release an RX 7950 XT?

We think that it’s likely that Radeon will release an edition of their flagship GPUs from the RX 7000 series with 24GB VRAM capabilities to match the RTX 4090.
